Here is Rico.. My favorite character from Gunslinger girl. This is the complete drawing. She is just so cute when she doesn't have a gun. I am having a friend edit in a background for me. Is helping me with this!^^ I will upload that when it's done!All done in pencil and colored pencil and of course ink for the lines.
STUPID SCANNER... I wish it was a little bigger... So I had to cut the top of her head off.. Arg...

o.o your getting to good at colouring -.- damn you. seriously i love the shading on the clothes, hair and the gun just looks cool, so in short - me love XD

Ya... with a lot of practice.. It took a long time to learn the technique. Colored pencils are a little harder to work with, but I say all the more!!^^

This is really good! Especially the foreshortening on the central figure there
Have you tried making two different scans, and splicing them together? I've gotten that to work a couple of times, though it's a royal pain... And, if it's just the top of her head that's being cut off, it might not be worth it.
I just wish Jean would treat her a little more like a colleague and a little less like a tool. And maybe lower her conditioning XD

I actually had to make two scans anyway. I had to move Rico's name and the symbol... Unfortunately there is nothing I can do about the top of her head. My scanner is just a little bit shorter than the paper.. ARGGG!!!

Yes, I did. It takes a long time to learn how to use a colored pencil this way. I can tell you that most of it is layered. starting off with a light layer and blending it in with a blending tortillon. and then I color it a little darker.. then once I've got the color I want I use my pencil and darken in the areas where the sun isn't hitting. It's just layering.. You learn over time what works for you.
