Welcome to the Coasterfreak's Custom Coasters Showcase. Today I am releasing the updated version to Mystic. I felt that the original design was too slow and didn't have the means to make it stand out from the other designs. I went for a complete overhaul of the ride. I wanted to make up for the low quality of the original video a year ago which was in a small blurry 360p window. So now I'm pleased to release Mystic in the way it was intended, in full HD and Widescreen.Best enjoyed in full screen.
Here is what has changed.

- New Layout with remixing the older elements from the original design
- Brand new scenery with the Mayan Temple theme and Custom Station.

Thank you for your critique! Let me answer some of your questions
1. "I'm curious if you modeled it after anything currently existing or if the design is all your own?"
- The elements on Mystic are standard on these type of roller coasters, but Mystic's Layout is all custom, it does not mimic any current roller coaster layout.
2. "I wish that the overall render gave the background crisper visuals."
- That is something that can be changed in the program itself, at one point I did run the simulator at its max settings but I was getting slow down in the recording feed.
3. "Did you build it, or was it a template that you build a coaster into?"
- This coaster is a revamp of my older video of Mystic two years ago that was in a older version of the software. I feel that with the new simulator update, I could fix up Mystic to something really amazing.

Good use of colors, its well implemented :3 The green color of the track reminds me of a real rollar coaster, however, i think you need to decrease the color a little because it stand out too much for being night time.
The shadow are good. it can be better, but its good for being a 3D animation.
The lights on the metal are good too, it makes you feel that its real metal.
The physics are good. It doesnt slow down and its very fluid.
The sky looks too realistic comparated to the ambient (the trees, the ground and others) but it gives you the feeling of reality vs fiction/animation. You have done a well use of it :3
I think the lamps are too shiny and the light of them too "fake". Its too milimetric, it needs to spread the light and the colors need to decline being more and more dark :3
Its just my opinion, by the way, so dont need to worry ^^ You did a great job there :3 keep up the good work!

The video has been brighten to see the coaster in action. The original raw footage was too dark to see, but I do see your point in that.
The Light spacing is determined by the track segment when placed, also the lights have only 1 setting and I am not able to dim the lights or change the spacing.
I was trying for the moon to be more out in the sky to add to the theme and that was for the mostly clear night sky.

it was a nice experience, the animation is decent but rendering and shading needs a bit work but I still enjoyed it

Parts of the original design are in the revisit, now made better with the new inversions and elements.

Oh wow the smoke was a really cool effect. I am really liking the background. The simulation is very smooth. The green color of the coaster works well with the setting. Matches the dark gloomy yet awesome feeling.

Cool! I liked the sense of mystery in this coaster with the twists, fog, and sudden tunnels. In addition, I respect that you limited the height to just over 100 feet--showing that you don't have to go to the Goliath heights of 300ft+ to make a rollercoaster an entertaining experience. It also means that more timid thrillseekers like myself will have a bigger chance of boarding the ride

I'm not familiar with this type of software, so I'm not sure what it's limits are. I like the design of the rollercoaster, it was interesting and kept my attention for the most part. I liked the night sky better than the original. After watching the original, the graphics are noticeably better than in the original and the animation seemed smoother. Great work
I'm not sure what type of references you would need but search tutorials for your editing program on Pinterest and see if any pop up. People post tutorials for everything there all the time!
