Did one before this and it sucked, like pretty bad, but I guess even for spitpaints there's a bit of a warm-up period. I wanted to add in a couple more gantry/welder arms but didn't think about it until way later, even though there was a period around the 27min. mark where I felt pretty 'done' with the piece and was just adding details and highlights... Ah well, hindsight, right?

Given that you have these robotic arms you have to wonder why is the dude sitting in the front hand-welding that part? Maybe he's the pilot and wants it custom to his fit and the robotics programming just makes it to spec? Maybe for smaller, more nuanced parts you still need that human touch, scalpel vs sledgehammer and all that. Adding a human element helps sell the feel I think, at least a little.... damn I should've added a screen layer....
