Description
Going into this I was thinking I was gonna just draw the dragon peering into the depths, looking down from above with half of its body submerged. As I started sketching it out, though, it kinda dawned on me that it would have to be holding on to something, like a dock or boat, some large physical feature, and then I started thinking that it might just look weird/awkward if I didn't execute that just right, so I swapped it up with a rescue scene instead.

The pink on the eyes just kind of ended up that way, I like the color contrast that pops up because of them so didn't think too much to change it. I did rush moving to color though, I was worried that I'd need to throw a lot more fixes later so I didn't refine the forms as much as I would've liked. Got too hasty and nervous.

Once the 30min. timer was done and I submitted it to the FB group I went back for some quick fixes. Hue adjusted one of the screen layers to +165 so it was more green/blue, added a 15% screen layer of green/blue over everything to kind of push everything back a bit and unify more of the colors, desaturated the overlay layer on the dragon a little. All quick fixes, total time took just under 3min., but I like feel of the image a little more now so this is what I'm uploading here to DA
