Description
There's so many "happy accidents" in this, really lucked out in hitting them. I liked the red that showed up on the robes, the bit of color I think adds more to the image and makes it less monochromatic. That was inverting a weird overlay layer I had on a whim, liked it so I kept it. The energy swirling towards the phylactery adds some nice movement to the piece, that came out of me playing around with transforms on a little swirl I was playing with and setting it to color dodge.

Like so many spitpaint ideas that I don't plan out properly, there are parts I'm not happy with and parts I wish I had time to add in. The robes are slapdash, more ruddy panels really, something I have to practice more on. I wish I had a little more time to add in a staff of sorts in his right hand, maybe a crown or something, jewels encircling his head.

Ah well, he's no Acererak but he'll do I guess.
