Being a weresnake sounds really uncomfortable. I mean, getting used to moving without any limbs - or with limbs again for that matter - or being cold-blooded, having to dislocate one's jaws to eat something...

Hmm...I don't think I'd choose any reptile, amphibian or invertebrate - they're too different from mammals.
Plus, the former are cold-blooded (and it isn't quite warm where I live). Latter have a confusing number of legs and often end up at the lower end of the food chain.
Although were-amphibians might allow were-axolotls. That would be pretty awesome.

As much as I hate to nit pick...
It looks very fish/eel-like. The shape of the mouth, even what looks like a fin behind the eye.
