HUGE FILE WARNING!!!!!!!

[Final Image ][Brush Toolbar Breakdown ][My FAQ ][More Tutorials ]

A tutorial for KamiNoDarkWolf ! This tutorial doesn't just apply to firealpaca either! Most digital art programs have some kind of bezier tool and they all work pretty much the same way. (Yes, all of them. Even MSPaint.)

Edit: TOTALLY forgot about the reset button (snap settings). For those of you who aren't used to how the snap settings work in FireAlpaca, it is the last button to the right in the snap section. I also marked it on the tutorial. Once you've finished your line and are happy with it, hit this button to start placing points in a new line! Thank you to E-Matt for pointing it out!

Edit 2: People have been asking this a lot, so I thought I should clarify - if you are ever missing tools in FireAlpaca, you probably just don't have the newest version. This tutorial only works if you are running version 1.51 or later. (It might be 1.50 but I might be mistaken. I did this in version 1.52 but it has been around for the last couple of updates.) Let me know if you have any other questions!

DOWNLOAD THE NEWEST VERSION OF FIREALPACA IN ENGLISH HERE!
For other languages use the flags at the top right to switch to the appropriate language. English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, German, French, and Russian versions available (flags from left to right).

You're very welcome! They only just added it two updates ago, so it's fairly new to the program. I hope the curve tool and this tutorial help you make some more great art!
There's a lot of tools they just added though, so if you ever find something and you're not sure what it does - let me know! I'll try to make a tutorial for it!

I found my current program doesn't have it - do I just redownload fire alpaca then?

cocobunnie In reply to CrystalRaven98 [2014-07-22 15:41:25 +0000 UTC]

Ah, you may not have the newest version! Yeah, just go redownload it. If you're on windows you'll have to reinstall it, but if you're running on mac just shut it off and throw the new version in the app folder. It will replace the old version and you can start it up and get right to work!

it is pretty cool! I tried it out however and i have a problem...do you have to restart the programme to draw a new line/shape everytime? ;v;

cocobunnie In reply to sqarrow [2014-07-22 08:25:39 +0000 UTC]

Oh, no! Sorry, I just updated the tutorial because I forgot to mention the reset button (Snap settings)! It's the small circle next to the curve tool on the right. Click this once you're ready to draw a new curve and you can place points again!!!

I just did it while I was working on another trade, and tutorials are pretty quick to do. C:
I'll finish the toolbar one once I finish the two customs I'm working on on the moment.

Oh yeah! That's what I normally use, and I have another tutorial coming out breaking down everything in the brush toolbar. C:
I've already talked about stabilizers verses curve tools in my FAQ, I just haven't done a tutorial on it. >w<
The stabilizer is really only a practical tool for tablet users, and I wanted to make something that both tablet and mouse users could use.
Thank you for your input though, I really really appreciate it!
