My entry to 's contest. I really wanted to include some fake screen shots for this "movie", but I completely ran out of time, so its just a crappy, generic looking poster.

STORY: Around the turn of the century, lumberjacks would tell each other stories of strange creatures and beast that roamed the forest of North America. these creatures became know as "fearsome critters". For years, it was believed that these were nothing but tall tales and myths conjured up by the lumberjacks simply for entertainment. However, every myth has a grain of truth in it...

As it turns out, not only are the Fearsome Critters are very real. Not only that, but have developed their own culture and society, hidden away from humanity for centuries. Fearing what might become of them if humans were to ever discover them, they have taken great risk to make sure they are never discovered. Unfortunately, big-game hunter Avery Skinner has other things in mind. Upon discovering one of the secret villages of the FCs, Skinner and his team round up all the various creatures. Skinner has plains of opening a zoo filled with the unique animals, making huge profits and exposing the critters to the world.
One critter that managed to escape from Skinner, an young Jackalope named Zeke, sets of to find a legendary bird know as the Snipe. Legend has it that if someone is able to catch it, the Snipe will grant them a wish, which Zeke hopes to use to undo all that has been done. On his way, he is joined by a ruff-and-tumble cactus-cat named Cali. Together, they search the country for the Snipe, encountering many other strange beast on the way; from a fun-loving Sasquatch and axhandle-dog, to being attacked by Water Panthers, and even having a few run ins with the most fearsome critter out there, the Jersey Devil, who seems to have his own agenda.
