I know this is practically last month's news and I'll probably end up scraping this but I just felt like uploading this. As many of you may already know, actor Ernest Borgnine pasted away on July 8 2012. He was tremendous actor with a resume a mile wide but our generation probably knows him best for being Mermaid Man on Spongebob Squarepants. No, he's just sad that his voice actor is gone, but happy that he gave him a voice to talk with because if it weren't for Ernest, Mermaidman wouldn't have been able to speak at all. That's why he's sobbing, but respectfully saluting to Ernest at the same time with Barnacleboy on his side to comfort him. And after Ernest's death, a new guy named Joe Whyte came it to take over for him. Tim Conway is still alive today, but quit playing Barnacleboy, so I don't know who replaced Tim for Barnacleboy. At least I know Joe replaced Ernest for Mermaidman.

The characters have been retired as recurring characters. Once Ernest had passed, they decided to leave the characters alone from major roles. Joe Whyte replacing Borgnine is misinformation. Tim Conway has retired from acting and is unfortunatley dealing with dementia.

Its an advanced version of Alzheimers. Tim is pretty much comatose at the moment.

Physically and Mentally. He can barley move or speak at the moment. He recieved brain surgery in December so he's still recovering.

I don't understand it. If Marmaid Man is dead (Ernest Borgnine) how can Marmaid Man can be on that drawing alive?

I geuss after his voice actor died the writers denied to physically written Meraidman and Baricel boy out of the show, but they're still seen in pictures.

I guess its up to interpretation, but in my mind, it symbolizes that the character still exist, but the actor who gave him life has passed away. Its like how characters like Bugs Bunny or Mickey Mouse have been famous for years long after their original actors have died.
