As far as I can tell, I'm the first to make this reference (on dA at least).As you may or may not know, a new Sonic game has been announced called Sonic and the Black Knight. This is the first thing that popped into my head when I heard the name.
Edit: Wow! 862 views and 43 favorites!? Its nice to see my work appreciated but this isn't even near my best work.
