My second entry into Valentine's Day contest. Goliath and Elisa Maza from the TV show Gargoyles.

My initial idea for the back story is that it is V-Day and Elisa wanted to have a romantic night with Goliath. However, just before sunset, she has to leave for some reason, slipping a simple cart into his frozen hand to explain the situation and tell him her feelings.
I thought up a second possible story while making this: Goliath wanted to do something for Elisa after finding out about Valentine's Day. Having only a basic understanding of the day, he wanted to give her a card, which he thought was customary. However, after a long night of fighting crime and other awesomeness, Goliath only just manages to land on Elisa's rooftop as the sun began to rise. Elisa discovers him there a few minutes later and is very touched be the gesture. It's the thought that counts, after all.

Whichever story you think is better, I guess.

As for the image itself, I don't know how I feel. It came out alright, but the background is just bleh! I still need a lot of practice on backgrounds.
