The local mad scientist was working diligently on the catgirl gun when he realized he had no volunteers for his experiments so he posted a job opening. After a few weeks, Kurt foolishly responded to it. He was given a job cleaning cages and being a test subject for his experiments. The emphasis was on the former when it should have been on the later.

Kurt spent a few days cleaning cages without too much of a problem. He wondered what kind of creatures left multi-colored slime and glowing residue but it did not concern him too much. Then one day he was cleaning one of the empty cages when the mad scientist shut the door and locked him inside. His catgirl gun was ready.

"Why did you lock me in here?" demanded Kurt.

"To make sure you do not run away and ruin my experiment," answered the mad scientist.
Such an answer made Kurt suspect that getting a job there was probably a bad idea. For the other side of the cage the mad scientist took the catgirl gun, carefully aimed it at him, and pulled the trigger. The gun immediately fell apart but the shot had been fired. He just needed to wait for the results.

Kurt felt the full effects of the blast. He felt dizzy so he dropped to the ground to rest. He tried to bend the bars with his hands. It was a futile gesture but he did it anyway. Eventually he had to admit to himself that he was still imprisoned.

The first change Kurt noticed was that his breasts were growing. He felt them and discovered they were quite sensitive. His body became smaller and more feminine. His hair turned purple. Then his genitals changed leaving him, or her, fully female.

Body hair disappeared except on his tail which she did not remember having before. Her ears became cat ears and moved towards the top of her head. Knowledge of facts and figures faded from her mind and were replaced by the basic need to eat, sleep, and play.

A playful energy was building up inside her. She stood up and tried to pull apart the bars of her cage. It was not like before. She was doing it in a more playful manner and did not seem to care if she actually succeeded or not.

"Kitty!" shouted the mad scientist unlocking the cage and throwing her a new outfit. "Change into this."

Kitty, formerly Kurt, recognized her name and responded to it. She caught the outfit and went into the bathroom to change. She came out looking completely different. Just because she only cared about eat, sleep, and play did not mean she was not still intelligent.

"How do I look?" asked Kitty with genuine concern as she spun around.

"You look absolutely fantastic!" declared the mad scientist.

The mad scientist was pleased with the results but his gun broke. He needed to have more than one catgirl. He attempted to fix the catgirl gun but it was no use. The gun was damaged beyond repair.

Kitty just ran around the area. She could have fled but she saw no reason to do it. As far as she was concerned she was the one in control. The mad scientist was just the one who gave her food and toys.
