Kenny was a teenage boy. His younger sister, Sally, had just gotten an exotic fashion doll from a shop that supposedly sold magic items. It even glowed in the dark. Sally told him the doll was magical and with practice she could use the doll to cause magical things to happen. She would not stop talking about her new doll.

Kenny grew jealous. Magic or not, he could not stand the fact that she was given a gift and he had nothing. It only took a few days for Kenny to let his temper get the best of him. When Sally was outside without the doll, Kenny went into her room and ripped the doll's arms, legs, and head off.

When Sally found out, she immediately broke into tears. She knew it was not an accident. Kenny was unsympathetic.

"You will replace her!" scream Sally.

"No I will not!" snapped Kenny thinking she meant she wanted him to buy her a new doll.

"Yes you will!" commanded Sally.

Her eyes glowed with an intense magical energy. It was the same color the doll had glowed. To Kenny's surprise. The parts of the doll floated into the air and merged together making the doll whole again.

Then the doll floated towards him. Kenny tried to run but found himself completely immobilized. The doll passed right through his chest where it remained inside him. Breast appeared on him almost immediately as his body turned plastic. It started in his chest where the doll had entered and simultaneously spread upwards towards his head and downwards toward his legs.

As her head turned plastic, Katie felt her entire identity being rewritten. Something did not seem right. She was not a doll, she was a teenage girl, or was she. As she thought about it, Katie realized she was just a doll pretending to be a teenage girl. She was no ordinary doll though, she was a magical one who could turn lifesize but only when no one other than Sally was present.

Katie was a magical being and it was her job to teach magic to Sally. It would be a slow and steady process, one spell at a time. Sally, in turn, would teach her how to be human. After all, Katie was Sally's big sister even if she was less capable of understanding the ways of the world.

Sally just sighed as Katie shrank back down to the size of a fashion doll. She had gotten what she wanted but not in the way she wanted it. It came at the cost of her brother. Even if he had not been a very good one, he deserved better.

As she considered possibly changing him back someday, she became aware that she could not. Katie and the doll had merged together and became one. As she admitted to herself that she had let her temper get the best of her and how they were very much alike, thoughts of what had happened faded from her mind. Her sister was just a doll, a magical one but still just a doll. Sally might never have a true sibling but Katie was the next best thing. She was someone who would always be there because she had no place else to go.
