Words Below:

A teenage boy was at the food court at the mall when he noticed a large purse in an empty chair.  Its owner was nowhere to be seen.  Out of curiosity, he went over to the purse, picked it up, and examined it.

What he did not know was that the purse was sentient.  It did not know whether its owner had left it behind intentionally or if it had just been forgotten.  Either way, the purse felt its previous owner was no longer worthy of having it.  It was time to get a new one.

The purse had magical powers, most notably the powers of transformation and teleportation.  Since boys were not likely to go around with purses, it transformed the teenage boy into a teenage girl.  To make sure it was not left behind again, the purse teleported itself and the girl to a field of flowers.

The teenage girl, as she had become, was completely overwhelmed by the whole ordeal.  She thought she was dreaming the whole thing because that was the only idea that made sense to her.  Dream or not, she knew the purse was hers because the purse had selected her to be its owner.  This also did not make sense to her but she tried to put such complicated things out of her mind as she adjusted to her new surroundings.

The purse also adjusted to its new environment.  Its continents contained all the identification she would need along with her new name.  It was a large purse so it also contained makeup, various notes and scribblings, appointment reminders, a modern phone, a romance novel, and a significant amount of cash.  It hoped its new owner would consider it valuable because it did not want to be alone again.

The teenage girl just wandered through the field of flowers with her new purse over her arm.  All did not seem as it should be but she decided that was not a problem.  Things that should be were not necessarily good.
