Chloe had been excited about being recruited by the Junebug Talent Agency but her excitement quickly turned to disappointment. Despite their instructions not to talk to the other clients, she did so anyway. It did not take her long to find out their clients, including herself, had forgotten much about their past. Some of them did not remember anything at all before they joined the Junebug Talent Agency.

Chloe also noticed their eagerness to do whatever was asked of them. The more they forgot about their past, the more they wanted to obey their commands. From those who could still remember, Chloe learned some of them had changed gender and all who remembered had changed their appearance in one way or another.

Putting two and two together, Chloe realized she had to get out of there before she lost any more of her memory. She was still fairly new so she still remembered her family. Only some relatively minor details eluded her memory like the city she found herself in and why she decided to join the Junebug Talent Agency in the first place.

Thinking the simplest method of escape was probably the best, Chloe ran out the door and just kept on running. Eventually she found a police station and told them everything she knew. After asking her some questions, they send her to the Agents of Freedom.

Commander Jake Black was glad to hear Chloe's story and even more glad Chloe did not have a memory block in place so she could tell her story. Commander Jake Black wanted Chloe to return to the Junebug Talent Agency as Agent Chloe White and rescue as many people as she could.

It was explained to her that over time, the Junebug Talent Agency placed a memory block on their clients so if they ever escaped, their memory would be completely erased. That way they could not tell anyone what they knew. Only the newer clients would be able to talk about what they knew and they usually did not know very much. Chloe was an exception.

As Agent Chloe White returned to the Junebug Talent Agency, she wondered if she had always been Agent Chloe White with the Agents of Freedom and had just forgotten about it due to their conditioning. Either way, she knew the risks and she knew it was vital for her to succeed. From what White had learned before she left, she knew which clients were new. White also knew she had to help them escape before it was too late.
