I still remember some of the jump rope rhymes used when I was in elementary school.

Keith was nearly 30. He went for a walk while he decided what to do with the rest of his life. On the way, he passed by his old elementary school. At the edge of the playground was a discarded jump rope. Deep inside of him grew the urge to play with it, He denied it at first, but eventually the feeling overwhelmed him.

He walked over to the jump rope and picked it up to examine it more closely. It looked old and abandoned, yet ready to be used. A smile grew on his face. Keith decided to try the jump rope out. While he jumped rope, he did not notice that he was getting younger. His clothing shrank as he did so they never felt out of place.

Other changes happened too. His hair grew longer. His genitals changed making him a girl. The name Katie flooded through her mind causing the name Keith to disappear completely. Her clothing became slightly more feminine, though still gender neutral, and changed into school colors.

Katie playfully jumped rope. Then her attitude changed and she became more serious about it. She sped up her pace just to see if she could do it and counted the number of times in a row she successfully jumped.

Katie continued jumping rope until some nearby classmates called her name. Recess was nearly over so she decided to play with them in the time she had left. They played tag and she was it. Katie enjoyed trying to catch them even though all her attempts failed. Then bell rang and Katie, along with the other students, returned to class.
