In writing class, I learned it was a good idea to make use of the five senses. There are plenty of things to see, hear, smell, taste, and touch.

After being transported to the mall, Whitney and Ashley went into a clothing store. Whitney looked through racks of clothes while Ashley picked out something she thought would look good on Whitney. After trying on many different outfits, she decided on one of the outfits Ashely had selected for her. She also bought some of the other outfits they had picked out.

Ashley selected a purse that she thought would go with Whitney's outfit and Whitney agreed it looked good. Next Whitney and Ashley went into the salon and got their hair done. Whitney wondered what David would think of her new look. Then Whitney got her nails painted a bright pink. Ashely got her nails painted purple which kind of went with the pink ones yet showed her individuality. Finally, Ashley bought some CDs for David. She had known David for years and knew he would like what she gave him.

Once they were done, Whitney and Ashley appeared in the pickup truck as if they had never left. All the gifts and changes they had made had come with them. As they continued on their trip, Whitney and Ashely talked about David and Ashley gave her some advice about relationships though she admitted she was not perfect. Some of the things Whitney would have to learn on her own.

When they arrived at the train station, Ashley disappeared once more. This time she was not returning. Whitney was not going to let it bother her. She needed to get to the train station on time. She sat on a bench, crossed her legs, and eagerly waited for David to arrive. When he did, she gave him a great big hug followed by a kiss on the lips.

She gave her gifts to her boyfriend. David had a gift of his own. He gave her some flowers. She took a big whiff of the flowers and smiled. Whitney asked if David wanted to eat in town as long as they were there. He agreed. She offered him her hand as they headed into the restaurant.

Silently, Whitney thanked Ashley for what she had given her. Although there was no response, she knew she heard her.
