Dawn hurried to catch up with the other girls. Before going on the trip she was Don, but she made the mistake of getting on the girls' bus for the trip. Their first stop was a magical village with a strict policy on gender. Everything had to be flawless and if it was not flawless they would make it flawless.

When Dawn finally caught up with them, they jokingly made remarks about how she was always late. None of them thought she was out of place because their memories had been altered once the transformation occurred. The girls talked to each other while their female tour guide showed them the magical village. Secretly her goal was to find children and teens with magical powers so they could keep an eye on them.

Due to her recent transformation, Dawn still radiated magical energy. The tour guide noticed this but mistakenly believed it was caused by spells she cast herself. The tour guide notified the others in her village. Soon afterwards, an elderly woman approached Dawn and asked her to come with her. Dawn agreed.

When they were away from the others, Dawn was teleported to a new location. She found herself surrounded by boys and girls about her age from all over the world. One by one their names were called. Once they were, they entered a large building to be tested for magical powers.

Some of them were eager to be tested while others were genuinely frightened. Dawn was among those who were frightened. The adults present knew plenty about testing for magical powers but they knew very little about keeping their test subjects calm.

"I do not belong here," insisted Dawn. "I do not have any magical powers."

"Many children do not show any signs of magical powers until they reach puberty," one of the adults assured her. "Once the tests are complete, I think you will see that you do have powers."

Dawn did not think she had any powers, but she had to admit the day had been rather strange. Perhaps latent magical powers was the reason for it. She thought about the possibilities until her name was called. As she entered the building, she could hear her heart beating inside her.

As they tested Dawn for magical powers, they were genuinely surprised by the results. She appeared to have no magical powers whatsoever. The magical energy had been the result of a spell that had been cast on her, but no one else at her school had any magical energy.

They asked Dawn about what happened to her that day. Even with her altered memory, they were still able to piece together enough information to figure out she had gotten on the wrong bus and was transformed. It seemed impossible for something like this to happen. Their system was supposed to be flawless, yet they could not deny the facts.

Apologizing to Dawn, they transformed her back into Don and teleported him back to the magical village where he could rejoin his classmates. It was the end of the tour and the boys and girls had reunited. None of them were aware he had not been with them.

Don thought about everything he had experienced. He was so lost in thought that he did not notice the buses were leaving. When he heard the bus engine start, he quickly ran and got on the bus. Once again he got on the wrong bus and transformed into Dawn. She was at a loss for words. Even magic could not explain it.
