Her screaming had done little to persuaded the creature to relent, if anything it had only angered it more than she had thought possible. A quick snap of its arm, there was a sharp pain in her head and her senses faded to nothing.
The thought of being cut off from all her senses was horrifying. The reality of the world she awoke to was even more nightmarish. Straining against her captors grasp she came to a quick and unsettling conclusion. Her captor had released her and in its place something new held her securely to the wall. Ears twitching Mayko tried to make out the distinct sounds around her.

Scrubbers in the air vent clicked slowly. Around her water dripped, at least that matched with the humid quality of the air. Occasionally the dripping was intercepted by a clicking noise and the splash of water. Not alone then. But what did they want? No demands had been made of her, no one had even bothered to talk to her, even though she was sure the thing that had taken her was sentient. And intelligent.

Tongue flicking out to lick her dry lips she strained against the bonds that held her. It was wrong, the feeling, hands twisting to run her fingers against the stuff she recoiled. Rubbery, slimy rubber. With another jerk that almost took her wrist off she amended her opinion on the gunk again. Whatever it was it was strong.

A sudden sound drew her attention back to area around her, a soft slurping noise and that same clicking noise she had heard before.

‘Hello?’

Silence. Licking her lips, she strained to hear the noise again. The air shifted, causing her to tenses.

In a heartbeat it was upon her, a snake like coil closing around her neck as something latched onto her face. Her scream died before it could escape her lips, and once again darkness drowned her, despite her fighting process.
