She served as a mechanic until an act of sabotage destroyed a critical portion of the ship, caught up in the blast she was severely wounded. Losing her left arm, left lung, and several of her ribs. The explosion also blew out both eardrums and left her blind in both eyes.
With limited resources at their disposal, cybernetic libs were grafted to her shoulder, and several breathing tubes run from a recirculation generator built onto her left shoulder blade, to her lungs. The head piece she wears connects directly to neurosensors build into the side of her head. Connected directly to her brain, the visor allows her to see, while the micro receives implanted around her ears allows her to sense what and where a noise is coming from.

Her name is Annalise, a survivor.
