Description Tangling with vicious predators tends to leave marks. Thankfully that is what band-aids are for, and bandages, antibiotics, and stitches. Being gnawed on by Dilophosaurases tend to do that to a vixen.

As am I, as she is has been growing on me as a character, and yes, tangling with predators, especially those related to dinosaurs is a bad idea. T.T

After I had ensured that our catch would not get away and was properly secured in her holding cage with the muzzle we had found in the Veterinary Centre, I ran over to Sirse to gather her in my arms. I quickly scan her fur for any signs of venom or open wounds.

"Are you hurting, mon petit cheri? I shouldn't have let you be the bait! You could have been killed! You should have just run away! If you're hurt, I'll never forgive myself. Point out where it hurts!" as I babble nervously, fussing about her like a mother hen with her chicks.

And you could have?

Sirse shot him an incredulous glance, as she pointed at his arm, as if to say, ‘you are in no condition to even think about such a thing.’

A little annoyed at being fussed over this soon after nearly being eaten alive, Sirse gruelingly lets you inspect her fur. Her back is a mess of claw marks where the dilophosarus had raked her while she tried to escape the enclosure. Body still running on the adrenalin that it had dumped into her system, it had felt as though she had been struck by a bat.

Now upon a closer inspection she cringed, the wounds had opened her up over her shoulder, back hips and even her tail. What was left of her bra hung loosely from one strap. Having taken it back at her protector’s insistence. The scrap of clothing she had tied around her waist was gone though, torn away by clawed hands.

Feeling more embarrassed than hurt she untied the remains of the fabric that she had taken off his arm before and re-tied it around her waist.

Already feeling woozy, Sirse felt herself slump forwards. If in response heavy paws snapped up to grasp her, preventing her from falling over completely. Head lolling, she managed to punch out a few drunken words.

‘I – I’m fine. Just a few…cuts…Wor- …Spinning.’

I caught her as she fainted as the adrenaline rush left her. I carefully lay her down on a large leaf and turned her over so that I could inspect her wounds more closely. I gasped at the sight of the dilophosaurus' claws running down her back. I checked to see that they are not deep but considering her size, what was a mere scratch for me could turn into a mortal wound for her. I gather as much of the bandages and ointments that I can grasp in one paw and the water canteen that I had manage to fill in the other. I carefully wash out her wounds, hoping the poison had not yet had time to work its way to her heart. After bandaging her up, I rummage about the medical bag, once more, praying that I had not foolishly wasted the anti-venom syringes with my last stunt I had pulled when we were arguing. There! Hidden beneath all the medical paraphernalia, I found a small syringe, something meant for sample purposes. I quickly take it out and jab it into her. Now, came the hardest part. Waiting. I feel her forehead and wince as her body temperature has shot up indicating that her immune system was trying to fight off the venomous invaders. I hoped the anti-venom medicine was working. If not...I could not bear to think of the consequences. Already, I was mentally chastising myself for coming up with such a foolhardy plan and the guilt that I had caused her this pain was eating away inside of me.

The plan had been simple. I managed to prepare one of the holding cages by using my brute strength to move it into a position where we could then load it onto one of the large transport vehicles using some of the heavy equipment lying around. Sirse in the meantime searched for one of the spitting creatures to lure them towards us and she was to draw them into the cage using herself as bait. She would run into the holding cage letting the monster follow her in while I stood atop of the cage holding up the heavy doorway. Once inside, I was to drop the door to trap the dinosaur inside the holding cage and Sirse would then squeeze through the bars to escape.

Alas, Murphy made a fool of me that day. Seeing as she was the smallest and the fastest of us two, it made sense that she act as 'bait' as she would not be able to hold up the metal door of the enclosure. I had failed to take into consideration the amount of moisture and muck that had built up in the cages and Sirse had stumbled and tripped before she could make her way out. Fortunately, she had been able to recover before the avian had made a meal out of her. Unfortunately, she now lay at my paws, in a state of shock and poisoned coma. I prayed that my ministrations were enough as I helplessly stayed by her side, bathing her forehead with a damp towel to lower the fever that wracked her small body with spasms. This time, I had no one to console me as I cared for the one other creature that I loved aside from Arie. You have failed your Queen...again... came an unbidden whisper. I frown. I hear a voice say this to me. As if a memory, long hidden, comes surfacing like the bubbles in the tar pits. A cruel, harsh voice. I shudder at the evil laughter that followed. Yet, no images form. I tuck it away for now. Sirse needs my full attention as I care for her while she undergoes a battle for her life.

She did not scream as he cleaned her wounds. Practically prevented that, as it would have distracted him from trying to bind her torn back. That and lacking a voice prevented her from vocalizing her thoughts on the matter. At the application of the antibiotics in her wounds the pain overpowered her mental defenses. And the void swallow her into a blissful eternity.

The drugs clouded her mind, a blissful sensation, and with it dreamless sleep. Her last thoughts were of the being across from her, tending to her. She hoped he would be alright without her to watch is back... He had a knack for getting into trouble it seemed. Something she was beginning to love about him.

With that thought, she let herself go and rested.

I stayed by her side all through the night. Waiting. Replacing the cloth on her forehead as needed. Every so often, she would groan out in pain and I would reach out a paw to gently brush her head, trying to comfort her. Although my stomach grumbles for food, I dare not leave her again. I have enough fat stored on me to ride out till morning. My ancestors used to hibernate all throughout winter. I can wait till she fully recovers. I tell myself to steel my resolve.

I try to stay awake in case any more predators come snooping about. I would not like that I was able to bring her away from the brink of death only to have her eaten. Soon, the fever passes and she lays calmly resting. I thank my deity, Ursa, for watching over her like the maternal mother bear she is. At this point, I am exhausted at this point and close to collapsing but I hold on as I cannot leave the area unguarded.

I feel my eyelids growing heavier as time passes. I slap myself several time in the face to try to keep awake. Soon, I see the faint tendrils of the sunrise come slowly creeping through the windows of the camp. I get up to scan the area. Good! The coast is clear. We should make for the docks soon.

I hear a stirring behind me and I see Sirse slowly trying to move, obviously in much discomfort. I rush to her side with the canteen in my hand.

"Here, mon petit cheri, drink this. Slowly though. I don't want you throwing up. How do you feel? Just give me thumbs up or thumbs down. No need to exert yourself for now."

Had he stayed with her all night?

He looked so tired…

And yet, there he was, kneeling over her. That warmed her in a way nothing before had. Her body ached, and her run, coupled with the accident at the cage was rapidly catching up with to her senses. The areas where the creature had clawed her were particularly sensitive. Each twitch seemed to threaten to reopen the gashes in her fur, that, and they itched, badly.

Forcing the itch from her mind, along with the pain, that took a little longer to fight back, the rest had helped but she knew she was nearing the limit of her body’s endurance. Even with mental blocks and training she knew her body was on thin ice, and to push much further would result in permanent damage.

As you produce your canteen for her, Sirse manages to lift her head up, the action causing the world to list at an odd angle. Persisting she fought back the wave of nauseousness, and cracked her mouth open. Her dry lips parted, and the water tasted blissfully wonderful. The first swallow was the hardest and she nearly coughed it back up as her throat rebelled. The second swallow she managed to keep down, and just as she was about to take a third, the water is withdrawn.

Managing a look of ‘There will be reprisals for that.’ She tried to look fierce, though judging from that smile that cracked that large face, doubted her leer had had any affect. Instead she let herself slide back to the floor, and when prompted raised her hand. The effort caused her to start to shake, and despite Sirse’s best efforts the is showed. Still, with stubborn determination she twisted her thumb to the sky, in an all is well gesture and held it there for several seconds before gravity coupled with fatigue overpowered her.

Not wanting to draw attention to her weakened condition, Sirse looked about for anything to allow her to distract the bear before her, a bear she was beginning to care for more than she should. If C.S. knew… was that why he had made sure Gus was sent to work with her, was this a test?

Pushing that thought aside, her gaze fell on a glint of gold buried deeply in the fur around your neck. Though it was half concealed, Sirse thought she knew the shape, raising a finger she pointed up to it.

He wouldn’t have…

I smiled as she gave me the universal sign that she was feeling better. She lay back down as I sat back beside her, worried over her well-being. I knew we had a deadline for the extraction and we still had to get the dilophosaurus over to the docks but she wasn't in shape to travel at the moment.

I notice her pointing to my neck. I wondered what she wanted. Did she want me to hold her so that she could feel the warmth of my body? I puzzled over that for a moment as she did not seem to be shivering. I give her a quizzical look and she emphatically pointed to my neck at the same time made some sort of circling motion with her other paw around hers.

Only then did I remember about the golden talisman that C.S. had given me but to which I had no clue as to what it was except some sort of gaudy pendant that looked good against my dark fur. He had told me not to ask her about it as she would be put off but then desperate times required desperate measures.

"Tell me, mon petit cheri," as I extend the pendant slowly as I know not what effect it would have on her even though she had been pressed to it many times in the past when I had held her against my chest, "what can you tell me about this golden talisman that your employer gave to me? He mentioned that it had the power to hold a picture in it yet I can find no clasp to open it in order to place your photo in it."

Sirse examines the talisman, a simple gold locket without detectable hinges. Something in her face changes, and she rolls it over in her hands with delicate care, examining every feature.

‘That talisman…’ Sirse began, looking at it carefully. ‘Belonged to the first Vanguard. That he gave it to you is, unexpected.’

Looking torn, between keeping a secret and telling you what it means, Sirse struggles to her feet. Takes a step and falls bodily into your form, clutching her head in both paws. After a moment, she seems to right herself, and with much slower and deliberate effort clicks out her message. ‘We should get moving – we need to get to the docks. I, will explain as we work. Please…take me to the control center.’

As you move her Sirse begins her tale:

‘That was a gift that C.S. gave to the first Vanguard, there have been three of them to date now. Each of us were tasked with carrying out the will and wishes of the Traveller.’ Here she pauses, noting your look of confusion. ‘C.S. Has many names. Traveller, The Meddler, Imp, Trickster, Karthius, and more. But, our task was always the same. Protect, serve, obey.’

‘The amulet you have around your neck was given to the first of us, oh so long ago, it’s owner was called Joanna of House Rorrick. She was a shield maiden, one of the few who dared are that title openly. He never spoke to me of her much, but from what he has told me, I believe they were close.’

‘I know that he met her on a battle field between two clashing armies.’ SIrse continues, ‘That he had miscalculated a jump, and had been wounded. There, on that field she found him. He described her much as a Valkyrie come to bare him off to Valhalla.’

‘From there, I believe they travelled together for some time and that they became quite intimate, as he always speaks of her with great reverence. He never told me much though, only that the locket was a gift.’

Stroking the gold face, Sirse ran a claw over the edge, and delivering a tiny tap to each side adjacent to one another, the locket opens with a click. Giving you a knowing smile, she passes shifts to better positon herself into one of your massive arms, freeing the other.

I ponder her words. I was the third one given such. Which meant that CS favored me in some manner and relied me to 'Protect. Serve. Obey.' The universal motto of a Guardian or Vanguard. As I take the amulet from her, I see there is a space inside but it's meaning is still unclear to me as I make our way to the control room holding her in my massive arm like a baby.

"Does this talisman have magical properties? Such as, if I were to take your photo or a locket of your fur and place it inside, in the event that I were to lose you to Death, it would steal you away from him to bring you back to my side? Or is it simply a memento holder?"

She does not have time to answer as I reach the control room where the monitors are still running alongside a timer counting down the time before extraction. Suddenly, one of the monitors comes to life with the image of a small fat man popping out of a box, waggling his finger saying, "Ah, ah, ah!" This was repeated many times and I was finding it excessively annoying that I almost put my paw through the screen if not for the fact my companion was signalling me to put her down in front of the monitors.

Clicking her tongue in irritation, Sirse positions herself in front of the monitor and accesses the database. It takes her several minutes to find the right file but with the system rebooted she is able to kill the annoying popup.

Attention consumed by the screen, Sirse works through severl subsystems before delivering a diffinitve strike and leans back in her chair.

Clicking away, she informs you. 'I have managed to secure a ride. Because walking through the park would be suicide, we are going to try another route.' Pausing, she regards you cautiously. 'It is a little bit longer than I would like, but the tour cars, the electric ones will eventually take us to the helipad. If we stay still, and with a little luck we may go unnoticed.'

I nodded my head in agreement. I wondered, though, how were going to get the beast we caught back to the mainland.

"Do we leave the beast in the cage for now? So CS can come back with an extraction team? And what of the embryos and canister?"

"And lastly, you said, each of us,  just now when you mentioned about the Vanguards. I presume you are one since you know so much of this talisman. If he gave this to me, it must mean he is endowing me with the responsibility of being one."

"Aside from 'Protect. Serve. Obey', what has CS expected from you as a Vanguard?"

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Code-Shark In reply to JKnight97 [2017-05-31 22:45:00 +0000 UTC]

Sirse ponders that for a moment, then getting up and slides down tot he floor moving at a slow pace to the door. 'The Embryos still have a tracker in the can.' Tapping her phone, she pulls up the device. 'As best I can tell, it is moving towards the docks...Clearly, the B team still has it. We leave the Dilophosaurs for now. We can't move it with the electric tour cars, and even if we could get it hooked up I don't want to take a predator along for the ride. If it starts calling out to others, it could get bad, that and the tour will take us through their paddock. We'll have to come back and get it with the gas powered jeep. Hopefully it will hold for now. God help us if it escapes.' The rest she leaves unsaid.

Moving with tender grace she shifts though the control center, seeming to focus on one step and then then next. Though she doesn't say anything you get the feeling she is trying to avoid the conversation regarding the Vanguards. The walk down to the main doors is long and quiet one. Only when you are at the junction just before the doors, does Sirse take up the conversation again.

'No. He is not.' There is something alien in Sirse's voice. 'Please, don't take this the wrong way, but you do Not want to become a Vanguard. And if C.S. offers you a chance to become one, turn him down.'

Her shoulders slump with the weight of memories, of the training she was subjected too. The path she was sent on. Those hazel eyes glow in a dimly simmering anger, that she buries quickly as it came on. Her fingers work very slowly over the screen.

'Vanguards services are many. I protect him from those who would wish him harm. I carry out his will, whatever that may be. And I follow his orders, no matter how strange they may be. Protect, Serve, Obey.' Mouth suddenly dry, she licks her lips and adds. 'It goes beyond that though. You see, your looking at this at the wrong angle. The Vanguard's task has one alternative subtle task, one that we never speak of to others.'

'When C.S. goes recruiting, he looks for someone with specific attributes.' Frowning, she hesitates and adds. 'He looks for someone who is willing to for a Deal with, to form a Contractual bond. He gives us each of us our greatest hearts desire, and in turn, we keep him alive...we...ward him from the worst aspects...you see...deep down, he's afraid of something. A shadow that follows him. We, help ward off that shadow.'

I nod as I listen to her speak through the earpiece. I saw no need to become his Vanguard as I still had my responsibilities to my team, to Arie,...and hopefully, if she were willing,...to her. I say no more as I felt the one I needed to discuss the subject further with was not on the island.

Suddenly, realizing what she had just said, floored me completely. "B Team?!! Why the hell is there even a B Team on this verdammt island?" I yell. "Did CS use us as bait so that while we run around attracting the dinosaurs and narrowly escaping being eaten by them, the other team swoops in for the prize? And you were aware about it and didn't tell me?" My rage knew no bounds as the veins in my neck threatened to pop while my claws unsheathed themselves menacingly at Sirse.

My mind was a red haze. The lack of food and sleep was one of the things I had tried to stave off. The abundance of stress the last 30 hours had taken its mental toll on me plus I the fact that I had almost lost her several times to the predators. Her remark about the B Team was the tipping point. I had unconsciously slipped into feral mode.

Sirse's eyes go wide and her feet take her a step back without conscious thought. Seeing your claws spring out, she takes another step back from the door, edging herself further down the corridor.

'Gus...' she raises her hands in surrendering passification. Noting the feral glimer in your eyes, ahe panics, stuffing her phone into her mouth, she drops to all fours and makes a mad dash from the 800lb predator now bent on bloodshed.

As I chase her down a corridor on all fours, the combined effects of food and sleep deprivation coupled with the stress hits me like a ton of bricks and somewhere along the way, I black out just as I was about to manoeuvre a corner and smash into the wall.

Claws skittering over the tiled floor as Sirse fought for traction, it wasn’t going to be enough, he was just too fast, and he was closing faster. Bounding up the side of the wall as she cornered, she dug into the plaster as she bound, and continued her head long run down the hall. To her right, a door loomed and on a hunch she took it. Behind her the wall practically exploded in a defining crash, corners, it may be her only way to escape his fury!

The room before her must have been a storage area, and to her horror she saw her fatal error. There was only one exit. Frantically, she looked around for another means to escape, shelving, she could gain the high ground, that would buy her a few seconds. And a few seconds could mean the difference between life and death. Moving with the crazed agility of a hyperactive spider monkey she flew up the nearest shelving, hand seizing on a screwdriver on her way up, she shuddered to think of having to use it and in a heartbeat she wanted her hip blade.

He was trying to kill me… He was going to if he got his claws on her…

In a horrid moment of clarity, Sirse could see herself, body crushed in his massive jaws. He would shake her like a rabbit, he would… He…

Somewhere during her climb she started crying, this was a side of him he had never seen before, and it horrified her more than words could say. And in some way, it saddened her as well. Jamming the screwdriver into the vent, she wrenched the bottom of the grate open and slithered inside. Crawling on her belly she did not stop until she was deep in the ventilations shaft far, far out of arms and claws reach. There she wept silent tears.

Sirse did not know for how long she cried, only that when she did, the world was quiet. So very quiet, and that scared her. Was Gus hunting her, was he luring her into a trap to break her neck in his moment of rage. Somehow against her will she moved towards the vent opening, ears listening. Nothing. She pushed the vent open, he had not followed her.

‘Gus?’ She clicked out.

The silence eating her, Sirse slid out of the vent and landed on the floor in a crouch, where was he? Stalking to the door she moved as silently as she could and peered out, and her heart stopped. There in the corner, crumpled with a fine layer of dust lay her bear.

‘Gus!’

Moving over to his side, she stopped caring if he was going to rip her head off. Hands wrapping around her your neck, she tugs, giving you a shake. Finger move through the fur, digging down to find a pulse. Still alive, but with an irregular beat. But alive. Dropping her head to his, Sirse nuzzled deep into that shaggy fur she had come to love. ‘I’m sorry…’

After making you as comfortable as possible, she positioned herself in those massive arms. Whatever came when he woke, she would be there, no matter what. Little fingers work the soft fur over your face, trace the lines there, and gently stroke again and again.

I am floating in darkness. I cannot see, hear, smell or feel anything. I can taste something burning my throat though. It tastes metallic and coppery. For what seems an eternity, I am alone and it pains me, as if I have lost someone. I cry, not knowing why, but the separation from that being, is as painful as having a knife in my heart. I see a light above and the feeling of peace attracts me. "Maybe that is where I will find my happiness," I think. As I start to float towards the light, I hear something. I look around for the source. It seems to come from behind me. It continues and the sound disturbs me. "Why does my heart burn when I hear that sound?" as I am torn between finding peace and seeing as to what or who was causing that sound.

Suddenly, I recognize the sobs of Sirse. "She is crying! Why? I must go to her immediately!" as thoughts of peace are dashed as my heart demands I return to my vixen to comfort her in her need. The return is long and slow but I cannot falter as she needs me to be there for her. Her pained crying acts a lighthouse for me as if I were a stranded mariner caught in a typhoon. I struggle through the blackness, then it appears as if I am twenty feet under water and my lungs are burning for air. I desperately make for the surface, Sirse's sobbing growing stronger.

I manage to open an eye and I find her in my arms, tears streaking down her face. I am unable to move but I manage to lick her face several times, trying to catch her tears. "Please don't cry, mon petit cheri," I whisper hoarsely. "Tell me who made you cry so that I may teach them a lesson."

Surprised by your sudden return to consciousness, Sirse eyes you warily, torn between concern and fear. He must be in bad shape, worse than she thought, and that did little to ease her conscience. This close, she could still feel his weight pressing down around her, sharp claws prodding form forepaws. The memory of your rage still fresh in her mind, she clicked out her response.

‘Do not worry about that. Not now.’ She had to be careful, if he was still suffering from the concussion, what had slamming into the wall done on top of that? Should she dare mention the ‘B’ team? Would she have time to explain or would he simple rip her to pieces in another primal rage?

Distract. That was the best course of action available to her. Prioritizing her goals in rapid succession, Make sure Gus was not harmed, rest, he needed rest, and food. There was supposed to be a private buffet in one of the bungalows, but she would have to find that first, and she was not sure if Gus was capable of travel. Getting off the island also hung heavy in her mind, she could give him a few hours of rest, but no more, there just wasn’t enough time.

Taking a deep breath, Sirse drove all those feelings down into the recesses of her mind and clicked out the rest of her message.

‘You had an accident, I need…can you, tell me how you feel? Is anything broken?’ Her hands move to cup your face, tiny hands, with delicate fingers.

I took stock of my situation. Aside from a pounding headache and a bleeding tongue, I ached all over. "I must have bitten myself but why am I here. I remember us talking about the Vanguards and then her mentioning about..." Suddenly, I remember what I had done and the fear on her face when I had gone feral. I looked at my paws and realized that my claws were still unsheathed. I quickly hide them. I remember her calling out to me in the darkness and her crying. Despite the fact I had almost killed her when I had become crazed, she still came back to me. I start to cry in shame.

"Please...please...I-I-I didn't mean to scare you. Please...forgive me. I was suppose to protect you and here I almost kill you. I...I am not worthy of you. Leave me here. Go back to CS with the embryos. The other team should be by the docks by now. Have him send someone else back for me."

I lay my head back down, close my eyes and release her from my arms.

For a long moment Sirse only stares at you, a frown tugging at the corner of her mouth. Then, apparently resigned to her course of action, she pries her hands under your massive head, straightening you to sit on par with her standing form.

Eyes set in grim determination, her hand strikes out and slaps uou across the face, her own burning with rage and tears. Her voice comes through the earpiece, shaky, and full of pain. 'I thought you were going to eat me...crush me in your jaws.'

Collecting some if her freyed senses, Sirse pushes on. 'Yes, there is a B team. No, C.S. did not send them. Nore do they work for C.S. We are to avoid contact with them at all cost as to not damage the time line. I did not tell you because...you have a history of being a tempral wrecking ball.'

Taking your head in her hands, she looks into your eyes.

'I am Not leaving you.'

Clearly displeased by your actions, Sirse tugs at your arm and clicks out a half angry message. 'Sense you seem to be bent on some form of punishment, I have something fitting for your laps in control.'

Tugging insistently, Sirse guides you to a building of the main strip. One wall is made if a quasi-transparent glass depicting dinosaurs roming through the brush. Before you streches a full buffet, some of the dishes are a little used, the majority is still fresh.

Pointing at a chair, Sirse leers at you and goes to the table and begins loading a plate of protein and sugars. Satisfied, she returns to you, crawls up onto the table to be at eye level with you, and takes one of the morsels in her hand.

'Eat.' She all but growls, though a hint of a smile touches her eyes.

I meekly obey and gently take the morsel she offers me. I manage to chew and swallow the food. As soon as I do, I realize how hungry I am and quickly take the plate from her and start shovelling food down my throat...till she slaps my hand away and takes the plate away again from me. She texts me an admonition.

"I don't want you dying on this island because you choked on your food!"

Grinning sheepishly, I answer her back, "Maybe then you should feed me in case I give in to my basic desires again? And may I suggest a quid pro quo? I should you feed you as well as you've been through a lot as well, today."

Again, I cast my eyes down. "I'm truly sorry, Sirse, for scaring you, like that. When CS shanghaied us for this mission, I didn't have my blood pressure medicine with me so I've been off it for more than 24 hours. I'm feeling better now but the combination of the stress, sleep deprivation and hunger put me out of kilter."

I raise my eyes to her. "Did you know, I was about to head towards a light that looked so peaceful? I was lost because I did not have you beside me. But, you called me back. You're crying led me back to you. And for that, I'm grateful."

"You know that I love you and I would do anything for you. Even though the feeling may not be reciprocated, I will still follow you to gates of Hades. I ask that you forgive this silly old bear for scaring you."

It takes SIrse some time to process all that you have just said. At the mention of heading towards the light a look of serious concern crosses her face. Sliding across the table she places her hand on your heart, closing her eyes, and moves her lips in silent words. Warmth moves from the palm of her hand, like an invisible ray of sunlight caressing your heart. The warms spreads working over your chest, like a can needing a blanket. Slowly Sirse withdraws her hand, satisfied with all that she could do.

‘Do not die on me.’ She takes your paw in her own. ‘I would never forgive you if you did.’

A deep breath, and then another to settle herself, Sirse, shifts clearly trying to grasp her own feelings for you. Her eyes move up and down your form, linger at your face taking in the details. Remembering the past times, the night at the casino, the dance floor, and… she was missing something. There was a gap there were one was not supposed to be. Filing that away for later, she focused on the matter at hand.

Smiling, she looks into your eyes, ‘I…forgive you.’ And with her framiliar smile, she leans in and kisses your cheek. ‘Silly old bear.’

‘Now. – Eat.’ Taking up another small morsel, she holds it out, but as your jaws move to bight she pulls it back, a grin spreading over her face. As you snap at the morsel again, Sirse’s fingers slip, causing the bit to fall down onto her chest.

The happiness explodes in my chest at her words, as I allow a small tear of thanks to roll down my muzzle. I grin at the return of her playfulness and attempt to gently snap at her fingers holding the food which she pulls away coyly. I lunge at the food on her fingers once more and as she avoids my teeth playfully snapping at them, she inadvertently drops it on her chest. I grin like a banshee and take her in my paws and gently place her on the table lying on her back as I look down on her with a grin that would make a hyena blush.

"As a bear, I'm partial to honey but I'm not going to complain. Besides, we can't have the food go to waste." I snicker as I begin to lick the morsel off her chest, starting from her waist, all the way up to her neck. Seeing the gleam in her eyes, I take a small portion of the food and bring it to her mouth as well. I had promised to feed her and I always kept my promise...most of the time. The second time I brought a morsel up to her mouth, I deliberately dropped it on her neck.

"Oops. Silly me. Here, let me clean that up for you." as I snake my tongue to her neck, licking all the food off her, and then gently sucking on the small of her neck.

Mouth working in silent pleasure, Sirse lets her eyes roll back as her chest heaves forwards. Pressing herself to you in a graceful arc her lips move whispering unspoken words of encouragement.

Finally recovering herself enough to blindly grope for her phone she clicks out, y-your going to leave a hicky…’

Even as she clicks out the words, her body works to wrap itself around you. Only the size difference, your massive frame and her tiny size prevents this, though not from lack of effort on her part. Around you the air begins to warm as Sirse’s desire manifests itself, tugging on your base desires.

Remembering that little comment about honey, Sirse’s eyes flash, and you can almost see the wheels within wheels turning, planning, and tempting. With an abandon of civilized though, she rolls her head back, allowing your passion to wash over her, and – a sharp chirping alarm begins to emanate behind her.

Eyes flashing open, Sirse looks at the phone, her face suddenly careful and calculating.

‘That was the first way point closing.’ She clicks. ‘We have two hours to get to the second way point.’

Grumbling at how the painful concept of getting worked up only to be placed on hold seemed to be foreign to females, I reluctantly let Sirse up as we gather as much of the food and bottled water that we can in order to start the two hour journey to the helipad.

Seeing your disappointment grow as the mood crumbles, Sirse felt a pang of guilt. Timing, it was just bad timing. With the food around them, there was just to much to carry and seeing how Gus was still fuming she decided to try a different approach. A smile creeping over her face Sirse moved as casually as she could a tray of puddings, taking the ladle in her paw she drew up a large scoop in one hand and texted in the other. 'Gus...' She waits for you to turn around, grin splitting her face.

As I turn, I get a face full of pudding. Grinning back as I wipe the food off my face and suck it off my paw, I reach behind me for some of the melted ice cream and toss it at my unsuspecting companion.

Suddenly, food begins to fly as we dash back and forth amongst the dinner buffet trying to cover the other till I manage to catch her again in my paws and start to lick her clean of all the food on her fur. I manage to do quite a job on her and then once I am done with the food, I start to nibble again on her neck.

Silently screaming as she is pelted by the molten cream, Sirse grins wildly. Her eyes laugh with her eyes as you gather her up in your arms and begin to work the food from her fur. Jaw clicking in pleasure, she tilts her head back to grant you a greater exposure to her neck. Fingers dig into your muscular arms, her claws extend, dig in, and retract, egging you on. And in the moment she does not care about the window.

I feel her tendrils of power reaching out to me as I continue to worry her neck, nipping and biting. I can smell her arousal as I'm sure she can mine. Just as I am about to commit the act that we have both been wanting, her alarm sounds again. "Damn snooze alarm!"  I think, sighing as I stop. We cannot afford to tarry as time is not our friend at the moment. I plant a kiss once more on her nose saying, "I promise to make up for these interruptions. I will take you on a proper date once we have left this damn island. Come, we must leave or else we will have to become the next Adam and Eve for this island." I say to her with a snicker.

Letting out a frustrated sigh of resignation, Sirse pushes herself up and takes your hand. Then, hesitating clicks out. 'Would that be such a bad thing?' Her hazel eyes look deeply into your own. Somewhere beyond her gaze, you feel a deeper pulling, not of lust or longing of the body, but something deeper. And then it is gone.

'Come on.' Sirse clicks out, 'We need to get to the control room, from there I can activate to tour program and we can get off this island.'
