Nera drew in a deep breath, the smell of Christmas was in the air, sugar cookies fresh out of the oven, pine sent from the tree recently placed in their living room, and the lingering sent of spiced pinecones that decorated the table. Christmas music played over the speakers, soothing, peaceful. And then there was…‘NNNNnnneeeeeEEEEEEERRRRRRrrrrraaaaaaaa!’
And then there was the pleasant sound of her lover scooching across the floor from the living room like an inchworm.
‘Yes?’ Nera put on her most innocent voice. ‘Do you need something?’
‘Get your fuzzy butt in here and untie me!’ Amenii bellowed. ‘Now!’
‘But it’s not Christmas yet.’
‘Nera you predatory, salivating flea -mangy, carnivore – Untie me right now and so I can kill you!’

The line of profanity that followed was enough make even Nera hesitate.

Funny thing, the last two days I and several others had to make two arrests for people just a little to empowered by the holiday spirit. Kind of with that they were just drunk, or on drugs of some kind as that would have made my job easier, but no, they were just... people. Crazy, stupid people doing crazy stupid things.

On the rare occasions in which I get pulled over by a police officer, my response to anything they say is, "Yes, sir/ma'am." It makes it so much easier to deal with one when you show them respect. Here in the US, we don't show them the respect they deserve. I've even heard people say they'd rather be murdered than call a cop to help them. WHAT!? That shows how our news media portray them.

It Is defiantly a cultural issue, I have seldom had issues with non Americans. But there are some Americans who's temper goes from 0 to 190MPH in under a second. How they do that without whiplash is still a mystery to me.
On the other side, there are some states, mostly due south, that I tell anyone I know, if you see a PO closing, flooring and make for the border. Do not stop whatever you do. But get out of that jurisdiction area. Don't worry about the legal conciquences, you can worry about those later, just floor it.

Oh so true, the sad truth is that there are really good cops out there and... Then there are those who are just looking to shoot people. It's a bit of a mix, though, thankfully I have yet to shoot anyone. For which I am greatful. ^^
