MINTRAY ICONS FOR WINDOWSThese slick and minimal TrayIcons should wander inside your system tray now!
I've been searching endlessly for proper, TrayIcons and since i never found them, i made them myself.
These little gems will allow you to replace some of the most common apps, like AntiVirus, Defrag or Chat Applications.
You know it for sure: You want to make the killer-screenshot, and guess whats a pure mess, the system-tray!
The times of dirty sys-trays are over and here is the little revolution that makes your screen even nicer!

The site looks a bit crappy, but i can tell you this software is one of the best i ran into as a Windows user.
It lets you do amazing things with your System Tray and gives you full control over each icon and more.
Here is a direct download link to the latest version (2.63) which is hard to find and has Windows Vista support.

Yeah, its the best way to do it, and its very hard to find, especially the 2.63 version, which is way cooler then prev. releases.
The only site you find it on, is some Korean/Japanese site, thats quite hard to navigate, thought ill give you a direct link to make that easier.

The link appears to redirect you to the main page, but i googled "PS TrayFactory 2.63" and found it on another Chinese site, i have already started making icons to fill in the rest of my programs, ill be keeping this setup for a while, look forward to the final release of Illuminate skin, if it turns out as good as i hope ill have to make skins for vlc and shit to go with it.

Trayicons are a pain to customize on whatever OS, i tried to change them on KDE.. as far as i there was no easy was of doing so

Indeed. I think it's just going to be a step-by-step process of locating each icon you want to change, noting the name of it, changing the MINTray icon to that name and overwriting the icon.

Just a question, how do I change the default blue gear icon to the white "plus" icon in your screenshot? I can't find it in the list of icons.

I have version 2.63 and i have no idea how i found that, i guess you can guess.. how and where
This version seems to have this option while 2.5 doesn't, you can still hide the icon though and bring up the menu via a Shortcut
Its a beta version that is "somewhere" out there (try eMule and Btjunkie, and now shhhh)

Well the newest version 3.2 should but, i think there is a small drawback/bug. Just try it out, you need to find v3.2 of PSTrayFactory thats the main thing.

I actually think most desk-modders just paste it in via PS most of the time, as i have not found a single set of trayicons anywhere.
These little guys can really be used, and i think they are the first that exist, beside the few not so good OSX ports
P.S: It may be the orig. Mac-OSX tray icons you are reffering to, just came to my mind that there are a few screens with that OSX eject icon.
.. and there is the very lame method of res-hacking the real .exe files which contain the tray-icons, and thats alot of unnecessary work, so i think most just paste(d) it
