Description I chose the term Fear Lantern over Yellow Lantern and Sinestro Corpsman. Yellow Lantern isn't sinister enough and the comics have moved away from Sinestro Corpsman because of Sinestro's change to a Green Lantern.

Tsukasa is a great choice for a Yellow Lantern, not because she can instill great fear, but because she is a very anxious person. To be fair, that is mostly because she is a puppet for a sentient AI who has control over the entire Internet, and her upbringing.

I am a little surprised that the Yellow Lantern Corps hasn't inducted someone who is highly phobic; there is some interesting material worth exploring there.

Adobe Illustrator CS3 but I am sure you can make similar results in free programs like Inkscape.

I addressed that in the notes.

With Blue Rings being recharged by the hopes of sentients around them, the Orange Lantern Corps, Baz's ring's error, Driq's ring error, Sinestro's ability to push a ring until it breaks, and Kyle's aftertaste of six rings (one of which is a Orange Lantern construct), it isn't to unreasonable to think that various rings can work differently.

As I noted, a phobic lantern is worth exploring, but I doubt DC/AOL Time Warner would ever be interested.

I like the point you bring up about a phobic Yellow Lantern. I think maybe the Yellow Lantern Corps has not inducted a highly phobic member would not be sadistic enough or something. Although, I agree that a phobic member could become a far more formatable foe than your average sadist. This being due to the fact people do crazy and horrific things when truly afraid.

Depends on how the ring works. It could be possible for the ring to act on its own and jerk the wearer along for the ride.

The other issue, is that a phobic lantern's instinct would be to run away, meaning he has to either run towards the target (fight) or run away (flight) either towards the Sinestro Corps or forever trying to elude them.

What it comes down to, is if the Lantern didn't fight, he'd have to answer to the Sinestro Corps.

It does depend. Although, the Yellow Light does stem from Parallax, and he at least works that way while possessing a host, so it is possible.

Yes, that is an issue. What I was thinking of was that final confrontation where the phobic lantern may be cornered (unable to choose "flight"), and is forced to embrace the madness of fear and live, or be paralyzed by it and die. If choosing the former, the phobic could become just as manic as the rest of the Corps. It all depends on that breaking point, and what the individual is made of. That is the way I see it anyway. I could be wrong in my thinking.
