You first took my eyes away.
Then my words.
My thoughts.
You could have taken my breath away.
    And after, my heart.   My soul.

This could be the end of me.

               I can't change.
        I can't change unless you've changed,
And I don't want to know if you did. I think you did.
               I can't change, still. I don't want to wrongly assume,
Like so many times before.
I don't look it, I don't act it,
But I am demented inside.
My heart is cruel
My mind is a harsh, heavy, toxic
Mix of abstracts

I refuse to find a moment's time
Where people could wholly forget
In my head, near the back, there is a candle.
You're the flame that flickers.

My mind may be demented
But I'll never let the fire
Spread through my
Forest of emotions.

I'll protect it
And make sure it lives harmoniously,
Needlessly
Without a forest fire.
