Wow, what an amazing piece.
For such a style, you have nice, angled shading and keep the gradients very balanced. You also let on quite an amount of detail, but not so much as to overpower the style. Very nice. :3

Hehe, thank you! I love it too... whenever I make something like this I'm always shocked at the fact that I actually made it, as my pencil sketches look nowhere near this good! If I could actually draw like this without constantly erasing, that would be... really cool!

I had to use a setting called "Smoothing" that was available on the "ink pen" tool of ArtRage... it makes every line you draw really straight and smooth! I can't draw them smoothly unless I zoom up really close (and I mean REALLY close) with the paintbrush, which was my previous method (and what I did to touch-up the lines afterward)

Wow... I don't have ArtRage though, uhh spent all of my money on other programs. |D I know, I fail. xD Do you know of a way that I could do it in photoshop? It's just that I got this MAJOR art block yesterday because I couldn't hand draw perfect lines like everyone else seems to be doing on here. ;; Just...very unmotivated right now, but if you don't know a way, it's okay, I can try to figure it out somehow.

Gosh, I hope it wasn't because of me! I have a bit of an advantage when it comes to digital art 'cause I'm a computer person and have previously used layers / gradients / etc, and also have that special artrage tool that makes every line look pretty.
There shouldn't be any reason you can't make stuff just as good as what I make though with the right tools and some practice, 'cause you're actually better at traditional drawing than me.
I've only discovered three ways to make smooth lines in photoshop thus far:
- Be perfect at drawing smooth lines / make excessive use of the undo feature until you happen to get the perfect line
- Zoom in really close with a normal paintbrush and sculpt the lines (very slow, but pretty)
- Use vector graphics to ink your lines instead... though you'd probably have more luck with inkscape than photoshop if you choose this option
I'm really not any "better" at making perfect lines than you are, I just have a tool available to me that you don't and/or put in ungodly amounts of time into slight adjustments and sculpting
*gives you a hug for motivation*
Plz continue trying... if I can do it, you can too!

Of course not! It was my own fault. The other day I was feeling pretty terrible and low self-esteem-ish so don't blame it on yourself.
I had a pretty good day yesterday too, except that it seems that I can't hold a conversation with my parents without having them yell at me and stuff towards the night. :C I swear, my dad always finds a reason... It's becoming a real problem lately D: But anyway, thank you for the tips! I find myself using the undo button way too many times though, so I've decided to use SAI to do my inking. And like I told you in another reply, I'm pretty sure it has some sort of tool that lets you sculpt your lines or something.
I just need to practice with it a little more! c: Thanks for the motivation too, hehe! 8D -is motivated now-

Illustrator automatically smooths your lines, so does flash.
