Description
A. Here I'm just showing off the Marker's low opacity. If you don't overlap the stroke, you can color pick it and then repeat the process until you've achieved the desired blend between the initial color and the color beneath it.B. For this step, think fluffy fur--or a cloud. Make lots of small marks and utilize the eyedropper to help ease the light and shadow into the base color.
C. Typically, black and white are the colors I want to add last. I feel like it's important to keep the saturation high, and to be able to add a darker and lighter color later on if needed. There's nothing quite as frustrating as needing a color lighter than white, or one that's darker than black.
The refining stage might seem like a lot, but it's basically just making the lineart less blurry, making sure that everything is colored in properly, and fixing any mistakes you happen to notice. Depending on how detailed the drawing is, the refining stage can be relatively quick, or it can take hours of work.

I did a dinky cat.
He is a bit misshapen because I was too lazy to get my Wacom out, but he's still cute.
Thanks for the cool Paint tutorial! I honestly had no idea Paint had this level of blending capability until now. xD
