Description Descendant of: Parasitic Noxis
Location: north, northeast, northwest
Diet: sunlight, muck
Size: 1/2 - 3cm
Reproduction: Asexual

The Parasitic Comb's name isn't quite accurate as it doesn't infest healthy, living, hosts. The Comb instead hunts down dying, dead, or even rotten bodies down around the pond's bed in the muck for it to inject with offspring.

It also goes down to the bottom to collect muck for fertilizer, because having the raw materials makes everything easier. It scoops the muck up using that cup(let's call it a 'muck-cup'!) and closes the opening using those side membranes so the muck doesn't escape. the 'teeth' or 'spikes' are used to break up the muck for better absorption, the many bristly hairs in and around the muck-cup are what actually do the absorbing, so they're kind of like roots.

To deal with energy loss during these trips to the 'deep' the Comb developed an oil storage, when out of the light it feeds off the oil, this oil container doubles as a float bladder, thus making it easier to move upwards towards the light.
