Forlorn Inn, huh? I may have to see if I can build this in Minecraft once I get it working again. For some stupid reason, my game keeps crashing on me only seconds after I open it

Building this on my iPad... Does the bottom part need to be underground? Cause I think I screwed up building it above ground...

Yes the first story is below ground level, its the cellar, a good fix would be building a hill up around the inn to cover the base.

I got bored today a built this. I made a few cosmetic Β changes; yellow hardened clay instead of birch planks being the biggest. I also extended the central pillars down into the basement and didn't bother with the water source as there's a lake out the back. The biggest change I made was moving the ladder on the second floor up and left by two, and extending up to the roof.
Very nice. I learned a lot from building it.

Thank You, I'm glad you enjoyed building it
I haven't used hardened clay in any designs yet, I'm still so busy trying to just finish up all my old designs and such I haven't really done anything really new yet but I have several ideas for it in the near future.

I used dark oak for all the wood, looks awesome, also, for the attic, I discontinued the roof and put in a giant balcony with bookshelves and pool tables, and other things like that, I put a roof over that made of wood slabs

Attic could be a common room (beds everywhere, no privacy) for the more budget-conscious travelers.

I already have one on the 2nd floor so I was thinking of using it as the proprietors living space, adding a dormer style roof for added room.

I was juuuust thinking of building an inn! Of course, it would have a hidden passageway to a more intensive underground fortress
