First of all, I must confess this drawing looks nothing like the original idea I had in mind. While there’s a single Cosmog, it was supposed to be three of them. All of them are going to appear in BNW at some point. One of them is (obviously) Nebby, the other is the one we see here and lastly, there’s a Cosmog that belongs to two characters I didn’t mention yet. For some reason only one of them came up well while the others were just...impossible to get right. For some reason the second one kept looking off to me and after getting upset over not being able to draw something so simple, I decided to go with a different idea including only the sketched Cosmog that looked good (which was supposed to be Nebby)

The identity of this Cosmog might not come as a surprise to some of you who follow my status updates. This is Necrozma’s son, the one I have already mentioned in the past. His name is Mallely and although it’s a girl’s name, I just couldn’t resist naming him after this song Like I said some time ago, Mallely was separated from his father about 400 years ago after he got too close to an Ultra Wormhole out of curiosity. Since his body is so nimble the force (?) of the Ultra Wormhole was enough to suck him in. Because Mallely has grown away from his father and couldn’t get the care he needed, he is half the size of a normal Cosmog. His colors are also different because of where (or who) he comes from. I originally intended to make Mallely just shiny, but to me shiny Cosmog is not too imaginative and I decided to inspire his palette in the colors of a quasar because a friend of mine believes Ultra Necrozma is based on those, but I still kept the pink cheek patches of original shiny Cosmog.

Aah, I can’t believe I could finish this drawing so fast! I intend to come back to the original WIP in the future but for now, I hope you like this one

PS: That shiny particle is indeed one of those light particles that are released after the player defeats Ultra Necrozma. Personally, I think it adds emotion to the drawing
