History
In a unknown universe is there a galaxy known as El'lion, it is famous for its long lasting conflicts. For countless millennia have species fraught and killed each other to the point where entire species have been completely eradicated as a result of the many wars. Now however a new army has arrived, this army is know as the Scourge is a army religious fanatics who is seeking the drug know as "purple mist" that enables them to talk to their god. They seek to please her and one day "Ascend" into her heavenly paradise. The drug that enable them to do this "purple mist" is derived from biological material, as such they kill people and animals alike in order to get this drug.
This galaxy has a long history of war, and as a result everyone has a inherited hatred towards one another. However there is nobody in the galaxy who can stand against the countless soldiers of the Scourge. However if everyone can put their differences aside and stand back to back against the scourge's wast army, they might be able to survive the massive war that has already cost several billions of peoples lives.

To help in the war effort there is an army know as the Inter Universal Legion Of Defense and Peacekeeping. A ancient and powerful army of soldiers who cannot die permanently. They are here to evict the Scourge from a universe they are not welcome in.

The Universe
The Universe takes place from 2970 in a galaxy that is so far away from Earth that we cannot see the galaxy, if it is even located in our universe to begin with.

Factions

There is three main factions in this universe.

The Inter galactical Union(I.G.U)
The Union was forged as a means of uniting the vast armies of the galaxy to fight the scourge, though they had a lot of problems early on regarding keeping everyone together. Do to inherited hatred and mistrust. As time has gone by however the Union has grown increasingly powerful in the political aspect of the galaxy.
Their army is quite large and highly varied as a result of the many empires and species who have joined in. They have overall large numbers and good gear.

The scourge
A vast army of religious zealots, who seeks to please their goddess by gathering and burning the drug know as purple mist. A strange liquid that turns to a mist like gas at around 20 degrees Celsius. They say that this gas enable them to hear their goddess voice and even speak with her sometimes. Weather or not this is true or if the drug is actually just causing hallucinations is highly disputed. What is know that prolonged exposure causes brain damage that actually removes their brains ability to feel pain, fear and compassion. It does at the same time also cause insanity after too prolonged exposure.

Their army consists of absolutely titanic numbers. They outnumber the entire galaxy's combined population around 5-1, and their soldiers have enhanced physiology that enable them to survive insane amounts of damage done to them. However their gear is considered garbage. It is poorly assembled and malfunctions frequently as a result. Some union snipers have claimed that the best way to take out a squad of Scourge soldiers is to shoot their bazookas when they fire. Or shoot the grenades that some of them have strapped to their chest. Another problem is that the scourge is more often than not, poorly lead by their leaders. Their leader is used to simply drown enemies in shear numbers and brute force. Some of their leaders however does use strategies to their advantage, everything from the most simple outflanking to trap-laying and surprise attacks.

The legion
The Interuniversal Legion Of Defense and Peacekeeping is an ancient and very powerful army who's main goal is to prevent conquest between universes. Like the scourge they are not from the same universe as the union. And their army consists of several different species, all of them are taken from their home universe around the time of their death to fight in this army for as long as 1.000 years, if not more. These soldiers have one deadly advantage over all their adversaries, their soldiers cannot die permanently. If you kill one, his mind is transported back to the legions home universe where he is given a new body that enable to fight again. This process takes around two weeks and then the soldier is back in action.

Their armies are really small compared to the other armies around them. In the beginning of the war they had around 50 million men, as the war began though they have been growing exponentially since this conflict has already lasted 20 years at this point. Their limited numbers are made up with the fact that their soldiers are capable of coming back from the grave and that each soldier is several times stronger than your average person. Their technology is the very best you can encounter in the war overall.

Subfactions
Subfactions consists of species, empires or armies, who have a significant role inside the major factions. A few example would be the "White star Empire" who has one of the largest territories and one of the most powerful fleets. Their alliance is with the Union.

Another example would be the "Kaldr"(Owned by ) A racist, imperialistic empire who uses cold abilities to their advantage. They are allied with the scourge do to their hatred of other species and in order to spread their influence.

And finally we have the "Arbiters" A legion army group that specialize in fighting creatures/armies with supernatural powers. Their alliance is obviously with the legion as they are part of legions armies.

There are many other sub-factions in this universe. Anything from species, armies, empires and separate groups. (If you have an idea for one, contact me and I can see if they can be added)

Technology
The technology is very varied in this universe.
A few important technologies include cybernetics

Medical gelatin(Med-Gel) : A type of Gel that is used to treat most injuries, it can be used to patch up almost any kind of injuries

Weapons
Most weapons consists of projectile based weapons, like lead, steel and so on. Laser and plasma weapons is also used, but on a smaller scale. Laser weapons is most commonly found on Spaceships do to their massive power-consumption. This is the reason why handheld lasers are a rarity, that plus they are difficult to manufacture on a large scale.
Plasma weapons consists of creating a heated energy pulse that can melt most metals. They are not particularly common do to their power-consumption and impracticality. They are most commonly found on large tanks as their plasma attacks are highly effective at taking out poorly armored soldiers.

Important words and concepts

Warp-drive: A warp-drive is a special devise that enable "faster than light" travel, by folding space around them in a burble around the ship that enable them to travel faster than light. Warp-speed goes up on a scale of 1-9,5.
Warp 9,5 is around 100 million kilomiters an hour. Warp-drives often have to charge up before they can send the ship flying at this ridiculous speed, during this charge up time, ships are often vulnerable to attacks as a result.

Warp-gates: Though you can achieve massive speed with warp-drives. It would still take you hundreds of years to cross the galaxy. A warp-gate can solve this by enabling you to travel from one end of the galaxy to the other in one standard year(365 days) A warp-gate is essentially a massive catapult that shoots the ship with hyper warp speed. Whilst traveling through a warp-gate most people have to lie in stasis as the radiation levels on-board ships becomes unbearable this is also done in order to save power as well.

Bastion Planets: A bastion planet is a little hard to explain, but the basic principal is a Warp-gate that has been weaponized. And mounted inside of a small moon or planet. The planet has also been fitted out with massive defenses such as shield generators, short range guns and specially designed trench-lines designed to hold the line for as long as possible. A Bastion Planet is a formidable weapon as it's primary weapon has the ability to destroy capital ships in a single shot over massive distances. These planets are often linked up to each other, and as a result forms a impenetrable line of defense.
