The original profile of the USF was needing a update and a better picture so here it is.

Been working on this on and off for around 4 months now and i have had countless problems, but i am very happy with the result.

Lore: Before the war, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Sweden had joined underneath a single government they called Scandinavia. They combined their resources and became on of the wealthiest governments on the planet. When the tension for war was brewing they decided to dig fallout-shelters in the mountains of Norway and parts of Sweden where the rock acts like radiation-shielding. When the war broke out Denmark was hit hardest and is because of that it became a abandoned wasteland.

During the earlier parts of the war the USF had approximately 3x more soldiers, but they where more badly equipped and they where poorly led by people who thought they could survive the conflict by continuing to trade with the other factions, and in that way remain neutral in the war. Because of this they ended up manufacturing guns and equipment to the Heinrich armies. This worked for a while, but the Heinrich kept getting more and more demanding from the Scandinavians, soon they started demanding that the Scandinavians had to send soldiers to the Heinrich in exchange for supplies from captured territories. This was a promise that was never kept and the Heinrich where planing on doing a hostile takeover of the Scandinavia.

This never came to be as they where struggling with the ULN, who eventually decided that they wanted the Scandinavian territory for themselves. So they Launched Operation Red Hammer, the Heinrich was unable to liberate the Scandinavians from the claws of the ULN and decided to leave them to their fate and come back to them later.
However what happened was that the ULN had to hault their invasion half way through Finland because the Heinrich empire was invading their borders and when winter came the invasion of Scandinavia had to be stopped until spring.

But when spring finally came, the Scandinavians put up a more heavy fight. The reason was that throughout the winter the Scandinavians had train everyone they had left in combat, and they made gear for themselves. Since they did not need to meet the Heinrich's demands for quantity anymore they chose to only make just enough gear for their small army, but instead they made the guns as high quality as was physically possible. The ULN invasion-force was forced to retreat with heavy casualties.

As a result of all of this, the recently arrived United Scandinavian Forces. When the Heinrich attempted to take over Scandinavia once again they where repelled.
Nowadays the USF is considered one of the strongest factions around.

Policy: The USF are ruled by a Council of twelve elected members who does their best to insure that the common good of the faction is meet. The system is mostly based on democracy except that the people who are on the council is elected do to their abilities and not personal opinion of the people.

Goal: They are fully aware that they don't have anywhere near the numbers to take over the world. So instead they have specialized in surviving, they believe that they can outlive everyone else and then let the other factions kill each other.

Survival: They survive in Europe by gathering supplies during the short summer, and then retreats into underground complexes dug deep into the mountains of Norway and Sweden were the intense winter cheeps enemies away.
In america and Africa the weather is more mild than in Europe, but the Principe is the same.

Tactical advantages:
If you compare each of the factions by the strength of individual soldiers then the USF come out as the ABSOLUTE best, all their soldiers have undergone intense training, have the best gear and are the healthiest of all. They have high resilience to cold, diseases, radiation and starvation. Their army soldiers are intelligent and fanatical to insure the survival of their faction.
They have access to surveillance satellites so they can see most if not all enemy movement and respond to it, and they are generally prepared for everything that could possibly happen.
An other advantage is that they have are one of the only(if not THE only) faction that have the ability to grow crops on a larger scale, witch means the can replace a large part of their food and medication unlike some other factions.
Another reason why their soldiers is so well equipped is because they have access to high quality industrial production. Most of their guns are therefore post-war, but are of VERY high quality.

Tactical disadvantages: They are maybe the smallest groups in World War 3000(with the exception of the Prometheus task force) they have to engage their enemy's carefully or they might loose everything.
An other thing to note about them is that because they are fanatical survivors the are rarely on the offence, since their expansion into North america 10 years ago they haven't moved a mile because they have to keep their borders with the limited amount of men they have available.

Opposition

The Heinrich Empire(owned by ): The empire are on of the only factions to frequently attempt to overthrow the USF, they want to have the USF's technology and manufacturing abilities for them-selves. They have however not won a major victory against them in over 10 years and last time they did have a major victory they lost over 10.000 soldiers to USF's 3.000 soldiers, not a single USF soldier was taken alive, they either fleet deeper into the territory or died fighting.

The skull empire(owned by ): Though the skull empire openly hates the USF, they know that the USF are someone you not should invade if you can avoid it. They know this because in 2361(19 years prior to the comic) they send a large army of 30.000 to overthrow them in what they called "Operation October Storm". They outnumber the USF five to one(6.000), and still only 840 of the Skull empires men made it back alive where the USF only lost 1.450 Soldiers. Because of this The skull empire keeps their distance from the USF.

The ULN(owned by ): similar to the Heinrich they want to have the resources of the USF, but ever since the disastrous "Operation Red Hammer" they don't invade them that frequently anymore.

The Prometheus task force(owned by ): The Promethean and the USF has a pretty tense relationship. The Prometheus have often been hired by the USF to gather Intel on other factions in exchange for supplies. And they do on some occasions united to take down a fortification or army together and then split the spoils evenly among them. But despite their almost complete alliance neither side trusts each-other. Some occasional skirmishes can add up as a chain of events that could cause the two factions to end in full out war with one-another. Neither side want's this on the other hand, the USF needs the Intel the Promethean's can provide and the Promethean's need the supplies the USF are giving them in order to sustain their war effort.
