Description
The Heraldic Order tends to field equipment and technologies with a slightly more sinister appearance than the remainder of the Ascendancy. This is rather logical really; having been isolated and indoctrinated from birth, their borderline psychotic behavior is mirrored in how they present themselves to those they do interact with; the ceremonial grandeur of their emissary's robes, the quirky nonconformity of their traders...and the darkly imposing sillouettes of the Heraldic Guards. The armour of the Heraldic Guards is also an example of the technological differences between the "regular" Ascendancy and the Heraldic Order; the suits are bio-mimetically customized to their occupants; the six tendrils of flesh which protrude from the shells in the rib-regions of the suit are grown to produce copious amounts of the pheremones which the Heraldic use to maintain their forgettable nature in collaboration with the subatomic sensory diffusion technologies; in zero atmosphere environments, these tendrils withdraw into their tubes, much like mollusks.
Another noteworthy point on the suits are the sensory systems incorporated into the helmet, which allows the occupants to view potential events and outcomes five to ten seconds before they actually occur. This slight degree of clairvoyance makes the Heraldic Guards incredibly difficult to ambush, and leads to rumors amongst the Ascendancy that they aren't entirely human; this rumor persists especially as the Heraldic Guards are rarely seen, and never seen out of uniform.
Finally, the two spikes above the wrists are energy emitters, capable of generating both energy based projectile and bladed type weapons with a wide degree of customization, allowing the weapons to be specialized for particular scenarios. Powered by temporal bleeding, these complete the suit as a potent weapon for an already dangerous combatant.
As for their uses, Heraldic Guards are generally used for specialized missions, and are very rarely fielded with the support of non-Heraldic infantry. Common uses include escorting Heraldic emissaries and assassination missions; in particular, teams of Heraldic Guards roamed the galaxy aboard small hunter vessels in search of individual timecasters...

Ill bet that we all can guess which timecaster in particular must have been high on their list.

Actually, believe it or not...no. It's rather complicated with Chasovo, and to be quite honest I'm still trying to imagine how they'd perceive him. On one hand, he has certain connections to their mythology, so of all of the timecasters he'd be the one they'd respect the most...but on the other hand, he'd also be the most dangerous. I suppose at this point it'd be safe to say that they're trying to locate him, but whether or not they want him dead or not is an entirely different matter.

I was talking about the other guy. With his tendencies, I would imagine that he would be the more dangerous. But I suppose that chassovo would find himself in a situation with them sooner or later.

Derp. Yes, of course. Though as I understand it, based on what you have written with Lord Naegotros (sp?) his path heads elsewhere...

Mayhaps not as far elsewhere as most people would have liked. He Received his Fallen power once again, with interest, He's been getting around Tenebrae and it's empire, working his way into thing's. Biding his time. he was mentioned once before here in ancerious.
But i have a feeling that recent event's will have him Very Excited. After all, He's in the Ascendancy's mythology too. Chaw-Host may very well make a re-entrance soon enough.
Perhaps we could have him meet a few people...

I was actually inspired to a mild degree by your designs; I wanted a samauri/crustacean/insect kind of feel to it; the overlapping armour is something I expect you'll be seeing more of in the future.
