Of the Light-Standardt, Medium-Standardt and Large-Standardt classes, only the Large-Standardt was designed with significant international trade in mind: the Light-Standardt was made with riverine traffic in mind, and the Medium-Standardt was optimized for use as a coaster, travelling between settlements and islands in the royal territories but not being intended for long hauls across considerable distances of the Nord-Emihst. This was the role of the so-called Large-Standardt class, which at 6,500 tons is very much the largest of the three Standardt type cargo & passenger carriers. All the same, it is still only just big enough for the term "large" to not seem like a misnomer, as larger vessels are hardly uncommon. But the Large-Standardt fills a valuable niche, as it is small enough to still comfortably operate out of primitive, smaller ports, but large-enough to cross larger spans of distance without discomfort. This makes it the perfect freighter (and passenger carrier, although it is unarguably on the humble side of the passenger liner spectrum) for the burgenoning economies of Nordenia and the Central-Emihst.

With her average loaded draft only a foot deeper than the Medium-Standardt class, the Large-Standardt shares the simple single-screw design as the other Standardt type transports, which while limiting the operating speed of the design to a modest 18 knots helps reduce purchase and operating costs. With a cargo capacity of roughly 2,500 tons, these ships make useful cargo and passenger carriers, especially given the stretched logistics the greck face at the start of their second decade.

The grecken ordered a modest number of five of the type, dubbed the Deer class in naval service, and assigned one to each of their main fleets in the support role. They typically function as tenders, although the two ships in the Central Emihst have been harnessed to great effect as troop transports. Armed with a pair of 101mm HA DP artillery pieces and twin quadruple 20mm AA mounts, they would make inviting targets were pirates bold enough to venture near the Ader Line's borders.

The artsee only ordered two of the design as the majority of their attention involved collecting resources from remote corners, and planned to utilized the two ships as regional flagships for their transportation operations, with Viceroy of Neuu Uthenland supporting their shipping operations in Nordenia, and Viceroy of Prinz Petersland, reportedly planned to be armed with four inch guns, making frequent journeys through the Central Emihst. However, in light of the increased iron and steel imports from Ordania, these two ships have been re-assigned to an impressively long route (Bonnhaven to Herceg via Port Progress, Madras, Proletariaburg (formerly named Kluknupinvickzuimvitlm) and Vurkhall with the hope of importing 5,000 tons of iron ingots a month. While not optimal for the route, the voyages demonstrate the GCK's formidable need for iron imports.

The Royal Unified Line was the greatest utilizer of the Large-Standardt design, and ordered seven of the class for three routes, connecting Arnoldstouun in Prinz Petersland to Uthenville in Uthen, Bonnhaven in the Greater Confederation and Port de Courois in Isperia, and Marai Kahnaii in the Urjou Islands with Port-of-Par in Alexandrachos, respectively. While not fast or particularly luxurious, the practiality of the design made them very useful for this route.

Wakoku might purchase several dozen of these for use as troop transports.
