Description     A sprite of everybody's favorite vain express engine, Gordon!
Gordon was built as GNR 1471, one of two A1s built by the GNR, in 1922. When he was first built, Gordon looked quite different, with an open cab and a parallel boiler. He was renumbered 4471 by the LNER in 1923.
In 1924, the CME of the NWR, Bertram Topham Hatt, made a deal with the LNER due to his connections with Gresley. Gordon was sent to Sodor that year and was rebuilt with standard LNER cab. He was sent back to Doncaster Works where he was built in 1939, and was rebuilt into an A3.
Renumbered 704, Gordon became the premier express engine for the railway, and kept pulling the express until 2011, when he retired from it. He now pulls larger passenger trains, and an enthusiast's special called the Northwestern Delight every week.

Sprite modified from Princess-Muffins  and  LocoSprites.

Edit: Updated sprite and lore.
