Description INTRO: This is part of a non-official spinoff of the speculative evolution project "Serina: A Natural History of the World of Birds" by Sheatherius.

This spinoff happens in another timeline where a sample of lifeforms from the early Ultimocene in Serina (255 million years hence) was taken to another planet to evolve on its own.

A random tribtil stares uncomprehendingly at the alien landscape of its new home, a pristine terraformed Mars-like planet with two small moons. Β
At one moment the lizard-like terrestrial teleost was looking for bugs under the blue light of Serina's parent planet during twilight, and at the next second it was on a sun-drenched desert located 2 billion light-years away from the Milky Way galaxy, transported there by unfathomable, God-like alien agents.

Soon it discovers the familiar buzz of its favorite prey carried by the alien air and the smell of the opposite sex among this alien landscape, and feels a little more comfortable.
With no more vertebrate life on the planet other than a few eargill birds, it's a world "left to the tripodal reptilian terrestrially-adapted poecillids" - but not in a bad way.

How would they move? Those back legs are backwards.
