Description
Very much inspired by angels & demons (most notably Lucifer, love that pose) as well as a few other concepts.Anyway, this is my own for a demonic prince. he wields the False Prophet, a sword tempered with angel blood (demon blood is tainted and foul, angel blood is pure and searing hot) and commands his troops atop his mount Legion; a shifting mass of demons numbering in the thousands.

Good stuff Al, a great design as always! I think though that you need to take care of those edges a little more, how those forms blur under different light, see here [link] and here [link] At the moment, they are much better handled in the pile of dead bodies than in the central character. Also, if you like this sort of subject matter, you really must check out *Smirtouille . She is fantastic.

Thnx man, and cheers for pointing that out! it's never really occurred to me to associate edges specifically with painting - i just paint wateva and use hard or soft strokes (like a mad man!

No worries chum! Controlling edges is one of those elusive parts of the realist painting process and when you become conscious of it, it really amps your work. You'll never go back now and it'll be really obvious when you see it in other people's work. Here's another great resource I forgot to add [link] Also, I think your example of the line weights and implied lines is pretty fitting, in that it is, I suppose, the line art equivalent.
