Description This is like a part two to my portrait sketches, this time a drawing of one of my favourite actors from the 30s, but that's probably already abundantly clear by my gallery alone. I find his face very unique and always a delight to draw, seeing as he's expressive and very pretty, but you didn't hear that out of me

All that stuff aside, I feel I've been recovering my stride when it comes to art. Returning to my comfort zone has helped to restore my confidence and remember why I enjoy drawing. It's also helped by the fact that I have some design concepts going for my Art ATAR project (that runs across the whole year), some of which are almost finished. By design concepts, I mean digital compositions that are essentially just various images cut and glued together which serve as the reference for my actual paintings. I'm planning to have a series of paintings that centre around the theme 'metamorphosis', which may or may not have a loose narrative that they follow.

If you're interested, this is my idea at the moment. Though, it's rather scrambled and more so a train of thought than a fully considered concept:
My work would follow a bespectacled man undergoing a type of metamorphosis. He feels as though he's been changing - not for the better, not for the worse; just different. As he looks at himself in his reflection, he notes he is beyond recognition. Someone or something has caused him to become this way, though I'm not sure what. I'm considering that he could be an entomologist, carrying a suitcase of pinned butterflies and moths wherever he goes. I may even have a sequence of him pinning a butterfly. Moth imagery recurs throughout, with the man having broad moth wings by the end of his transformation. He would appear an odd kind of beautiful to us, but not to himself, as he feels he is the same as he always was. [As an alternative ending, he may also end up as a pinned specimen, an immortalised figure to be admired as beautiful. It's quite dark, but it's there.]

Sorry about the ramble here, but thank you for your time I appreciate all and any criticism or suggestions! Take care
