Description
Jessica's squad was ambushed by an Allegiance Snatch Squad; in all of the confusion she managed to get split up from her team members. She fled into a rundown apartment complex and tried to stay as quiet as possible, hoping that the loud gunfire going off outside would keep her hidden. Having accidentally dropped her weapon in the earlier skirmish, she was now defenseless. The sound of a door being kicked in further down the hallway frightened her.

"Find her!" A voice yelled.

She crouched down and tried to get as far into her shaded corner as she could, but it was useless; she was trapped in a dead end. Multiple sets of footsteps could be heard getting closer and closer until they were nearly on top of her. As the reality of the situation began to wash over her, she started to regret her choice to join the Syndicate. All she had to do was fall in line and she would have been fine, completely safe in her East Region home and in her warm bed. Instead she ran away from it all as a declaration of defiance, an enormous burst of rebelliousness that was now coming back to blow up right in her face. Soon enough, two Allegiance officers turned the corner and aimed at her, their weapons set to "Lethal" mode.

"W-wait, please don't shoot, I give up!" Jessica cried as she raised her hands above her head.

"Don't you fucking move!" One of the officers ordered.

Jessica was paralyzed by fear as the two officers flanked her and painfully contorted her arms behind her back. As they stood her up, a third officer approached from the front; she lacked a helmet and wore a black suit rather than the standard blue. When their eyes met, there was a mutual familiarity between them; Jessica's blood ran cold. The woman standing before her was Karissa, the East Region's Lieutenant Commander.

"Jessica Cole... you were a former sergeant in the Allegiance police force. I hear the Region of Order just loves to get their hands on traitors... so I think a little transfer is in order. The Adjudicators are gonna have tons of fun with you, trust me." Karissa stated, now grabbing Jessica's arm and pulling her towards a doorway as the two subordinate officers continued to restrain the captive Syndicate member.

"Karissa, please don't send me to the Adjudicators! I learned about the Syndicate's safe-houses... I-I know things! I can help you take them down, I swear... I'll tell you everything!" Jessica pleaded.
