Man, when you sketch in pencil, it doesn't work as well. The slightest bit of difference in pressure makes the color different, so it takes forever to erase all the graphite off of the picture.

one trick i use to make the erasing easier is well...click the right button but you CAN make the eraser bigger then the selected sizes just click the ctrl button and the + on the number pad and the eraser magically grows!! that also works for the paint brush tool, the line/curve tool, and the airbrush tool ^^ hope i helped

It doesn't help. See, my graphite seems to be more than one color due to differences in pressure. Only a few specks of color come off when I erase.

It's a great tutorial, but where do you do the colour block? On the picture or in custom colours?
Anyway, I'll use this tutorial to help me a _LOT_!

there is a PoSSIBLY easier way with the colour block thing. u can take a screenie of that bar chuck it on a diff paint window and then cut out the bar u want and put it to the side of ur pic and rotate so its sideways or wateva lolz. i always find that a tad easier
Great tutorial tho!

hmm... I think I can add something to this actually, something on how to make your outline even smoother , I came up with it like 3 years ago actually when I still used paint, though I'm more of a photoshop user nowadays

I've only just noticed a thing with ms paint:
If you hold in shift and make straight line it becomes all strange, it can not be put just anywhere anymore. Try it out and you'll know what I mean

neoshadow1 In reply to Twinhearts [2007-03-18 06:21:23 +0000 UTC]
cool trick makes te line only go straight in a direction and it will only turn on a 45 degree angle

omg <3 paint is god, it's all i use. Btw, to help with the boxy things, (when you outline stuff) underneath you'll see the shapes, and you click on the second option and you can move it anywhere in the drawing and overlap and stuff, and if you have a pattern it'll only cut around certain parts. That probably made no sence. But yeah. :] Pain. *worships*

This tutorial was very amusing, yet helpful at the same time. I actually find that drawing in MS paint is easier
than drawing with Photoshop. This tutorial here is just the "icing on the cake!"
