Description So yeah. This was kinda bloody amazing. O___O I didn't know any of this stuff about MS Paint. And I've never seen these techniques used elsewhere, so I'm guessing hardly anybody else knows about it either.

I always dreamed of a bigger/smaller eraser tool. Aaaaaaah. -bliss-

I can't wait to see what I cook up using this. <3

I plan on editing this as I learn about more stuff, so keep an eye on this. I'll prolly make a journal update if I add anything.

Ah well. It's a little out of date anyway since it doesn't work in the newer bastardized MS Paint, though it appears you've found a work-around (as I have). I actually ended up getting the Vista paint for the extra undo's and and greater zoom levels.

I have Windows 7, and the custom size wouldn't work. :/

I also have Windows 7 and it didn't work, but since I missed my old Windows XP Paint, I found an XP version online! Just google it, you'll find it eventually. Free to download and everything and (oh my god this is going to sound cheesy) I don't know where I'd be without it!

I don't have a numpad on my laptop D: I kow how to make the brush size bigger, by holding ctrl+fn and "/?" key, i don't how to make it smaller. Can someone find a tutorial for people using laptops?

Etomo In reply to RazziPixel [2009-03-27 00:53:46 +0000 UTC]

Hmm...does your laptop have little blue numbers on some of the letters? Like, on the right-hand side of the normal keys? Because mine does, and I had to hit numlock on it and I'd be able to use the fake number pad on there? =X -crosses fingers-

RazziPixel In reply to Etomo [2009-03-27 01:20:29 +0000 UTC]

Yes, I do have a blue number on the keys.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Etomo In reply to RazziPixel [2009-03-27 01:32:17 +0000 UTC]

Well, I think you SHOULD be able to hit numlock to activate the number pad. And then just find the key that has the blue - sign on it?

RazziPixel In reply to Etomo [2009-03-27 02:01:43 +0000 UTC]

I don't have a number pad on my laptop the one I'm using is a medium size laptop. Mostly the larger size laptops has a number pad.

I think I figure it out, by holding crtl+fn and holding the ":;" key with the "-" blue sign.

Anyways thanks for the advice.

Etomo In reply to RazziPixel [2009-03-28 15:20:09 +0000 UTC]

Ohyeah. xD I mean that the blue numbers are the number pad, and that's how you activate it to make it work? Uhhh -flails- I don't make sense >>

But I'm glad you got it figured out <3

Etomo In reply to GaruryKai [2008-09-16 14:27:41 +0000 UTC]

Ooooo, I use it on my laptop though! On mine, on the right side of the keyboard you can see numbers printed on some of the letter keys. If you hold shift and then see on the upper-right side of the keyboard hit "numlk" then it lets you have access to those numbers and the +/- stuff as well...

-is making no sense-

I knew all of that. ^^ And I also knew what Comett just pointed out. Another thing you can do with Paint is that when zooming, you can see a thumbnail as well as a grid. When zoomed, go to Show > Zoom > and select thumbnail or grid. xD I hope that's right, translated from my swedish one.
There are loads of hidden things to paint. (:
