Description
this is the sketch for the wolf painting I am doing for my friend. He will be emerging from the mists as he walks through the snow. The whole piece will be 12x18" 300 dpi uncropped, so I wont post alot of it here as I work.Related content

I really love the angle and the expression of the wolf. It's not hollow or empty. You give it a spark.
jaime.

I will be posting the finished one don't worry, I will probably also post a few close up shots. ^^ I think at this point if I don't I'll be in huge trouble.

lol yea I like working big and as I get older my stuff will only grow in size. This almost was 24x18 in fact, but knew that would take to long.

dude i can tell now its gonna look awesome i love the pose and the wolf's expression.
only problem is the two lines at the tip of his right ear( i think thats right?) it kinda throws me off a bit. are you keeping one or both of them? it could work either way you go i think. but i think the line on the outside would fill him out more if its kept.
cant wait to see it finished!!

I'll porbably keep both but the tips of the ears are black while the rest is grey and white except for a black cross on the wolfs back so that should help make more sense to the confusion. lol actually I rare follow my lines exactly so I don't know where it'll go
Thank you so much, I already have the eyes done and a light wash and it gets me excited every time I see it. It'g going to be very detailed so I might have to post a few close ups.

thanks.. i think!! lol kidding
nah i use too many filters... once ina while things turn out right, but... i dontknow.. i never take it seriously so it always looks cruddy. The idea of the perfect canvas, to smudge marks or eraser scars and being able to keep tidy is an overwhelming thought and foriegn concept to me lol
but what the hell.. i have a new scanner, and a sketch book full of crap..

Thats the spirit! Plus if you ever figure out how to properly color an image in without lines tell me! For my life I can't color with an outline. lol

funnily enough i was grumbling about that..... i want to keep my outlines on some of the pictures but its so much meticulous work, and rather annoying. the mouse i use is kinda crummy.... its like its dirty, even after its been cleaned. its very jumpy, so i gotta work one click at a time i miss my touch pad!! i could do fine lines when i had it.

Yep basicly you draw on a board with a pencil like tool but nio marks are made on the board but are on your screen. It's a wonderful tool, as for price it depends on the brand and size you get. I believe the average price is around 100$ I don't use Wacom which is what most people use so I only know they cost more.

I'm uh... not used to that kinda treatment ... anyways yeah its awesome, i see what you mean about it. i'm still getting used to it, but i prefer it over that icky slow jumpy mouse
now my problem is... i dont know what to draw.... *bangs her head against the artist's block*
