"Don't forget it! You'll regret it! Mother knows best!"Oh, Mother Gothel...I absolutely love her! She is a great character, has a stunning design (love the hair), and Donna Murphy's voice is one of the most memorable parts of the film! She's deliciously wicked!
So yeah, I've been drawing ALOT since the movie came out but I haven't gotten around to clean-up and coloring yet! Also I can't post alot of the pictures because of spoilers...But there is one piece in particular that I am working on that I am very proud of...So maybe once the movie has been out for a while I'll post it!
I've studied alot of Gothel conept art and videos to get a feel for how to draw her. I've realized that when it comes to her hair: simple shapes NOT alot of squiggles is the best way for me to draw Gothel in my style.

Agreed! I loved Mother Gothel! Her song with Rapunzel cracked me up! I think she's my favorite Disney villain (my previous favorite was Ursula) because she has this motherly persona about her and you cant help but think "She looks so nice and sounds so caring, I'd love it if she were my mother" (well up until the last like 20 minutes of the movie that is) but I think every time I'm gonna watch Tangled, I'm gonna fall in love with her mother essence over and over!
