Good afternoon and Happy 2011 from Canada!!! I hope this finds you and yours well.
To be honest with you all, I'm an older lady (52), and I happen to like Supes the way he is. I keep saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." I also don't understand all vampires becoming all of sudden popular. I agree with the one who despises the Twilight series. I refuse to have our Last Son of Krypton changed just so he can be popular to the teenage girls out there. Hell, he's been popular for going on 72 years now, and I don't see why one group has to dictate what the rest of us think.
I take it this is a rumour, right?

Very cool man. Looks Alex Ross inspired almost. Always been my two favorites. The fight over which one is cooler, which seems more prevelant in adults than in kids, has always driven me nuts. You represent both really well here.

i love the vintage feel of this, i get tired of the super ripped supes and batman(or any comic character for that matter) i love to see when artists take more interest in the realistic body types. awesome stuff as usual man.

I love, love, love~ Batman. I hate to be this person, but I'm not much of a Superman fan. He wears the glasses, no one knows who he is. He takes them off, he's Superman. Everyone in Metropolis must be pretty stupid to fall for that. At least Batman is a more realistic superhero.

"Prep time" and being a total pseudo-fascist jerk who gets away with everything is as far from being realistic as one can get. Let's face it, Batman is frequently written to be even less believable than Superman. All too often, he's no better than what he fights, and he wastes more time plotting against his teammates than he does plotting to put Gotham's bad guys out of commission.
At least Superman is outright science fantasy. Batman has no such excuse.

Ah, but let's not forget to add in the fact that Bruce watched as his parents were killed right in front of him. His only friend for years was his butler, so one can understand that Batman doesn't trust his fellow companions, as witnessing his parents' murder has caused him to be withdrawn from others. Also, the fact that Batman constantly walks the line of hero and villain makes him even more believable, because everyone walks that line. In fact, Batman's flaws show that he is human, therefore, more believable than a superhero who's seemingly perfect.

really excellent contrast with the figures. i like how even the draping/deformation to Superman's cape is kept to a minimum. Supes is the rock, and Bats is the lightening.
