Seems like you guys don't mind seeing my studies. Well, here's one mostly from imagination. Trying to learn about painting rain and wet surfaces. I left the face pretty basic to focus more on the water, reflections, etc.
Casually painted over the course of two days. Maybe seven hours total. Thanks for looking!
Cara Delevingne was my guideline for the facial features, though I altered them and invented quite a bit.
EDIT: An artist I really respect, ~WojciechFus painted over it and showed me how to really take it up a notch. So I did that based on what he showed me. Great guy, amazing gallery, give him a look!

Cool portrait! Clicked on this cause I thought it was Tomb Raider fan-art. Even from the thumbnail, I instantly saw a Lara Croft resemblance. I've only see a few TR fan-arts that try to incorporate rain into them but this one has to be one of my favorites so far! Even if it wasn't intended as fan-art, still this is a really good portrait.

Thank-you! Yeah, just out of nowhere on Facebook, he was like "can I overpaint this" and I was like "YES!" Super nice guy. He showed me how to pump up the edge control and get more pleasing light falloff and highlights. Very cool stuff. I know, painful memories, but I thought the relation here had two equally important things to note:
1. look at how much better you've done!
2. holy shit all of your female portraits have the same skull or something??

Ahaha, I know, I draw a lot of the same face structures over and over. I'm getting better. And actually, I had originally used Cara Delevingne as a reference (she has a pretty unique skull) and then Wojtek painted over and was like "fix this anatomy shit up" and I was like "okay" and did exactly what he said, haha. So it used to be more different but that was a bad choice. But some of the stuff I've put out on FB has been deviating in a good way.

Ahaha, glad you think so! I could have gone much more realistic on the face if I wanted to spend more time, but I was focused on the rain effects.
