Either a couple of high ranks who catch Snake doing something wrong or a group of equines who have reason to hate him (we could come up with something hehe) gang up on snake to teach him a lesson. His tongue is slit in the process to resemble that of his namesake.

Second Encounters
Snake and your bachelor mare meet and become friends when they are young. However, Snake's sire finds out and forbids them from playing with one another. Time goes by and now the two meet again. How will your mare react to the change she sees in her childhood friend?

Snake persues your mare with little luck, when he starts to
get especially pushy, your mare fights back and manages to give Snake a solid whack that leaves him reeling before she makes her escape back to the safety of the herd. Too embaressed to admit he was beat up by a brood, He says nothing of the event to any higher authority that might properly punish her, but from then on he'll go out of his way to seek vengeance.

Forbidden
Your mare's either dreading her upcoming 17th birthday or is just tired of the abusive treatment she receives from the stallions. Snake takes this as an opportunity to make a deal with her. He'll claim her for a season to prevent her having to deal with any unwanted attention, but at a cost...she must play the role of his spy.
