Thought it worked with the originals shape-- basically working with the idea of a lei wrapping around. Also there is a snake in Hawaii called a Flowerpot Snake but that was kinda just a happy coincidence. c:

Loving the cutesy snake form. Though it was a skeleton at first.

and now it begins the series of normal Alola pokemon without evolutions (exceptions being the Wimpod line plus legendaries and mythicals don't count) which ends at the Jangmo-o line.
Comfey is a notable fae that is capable of weaponizing it's flowers with fairy magic against potential prey, i can imagine this redesign would still float and fly but could also grab it's tail to "roll" in the air like an aerial version of a Hoop snake.
i love this redesign, it's like if Comfey got a mega evolution!, i hope more no-evolution common Alolan mons get more grandiose redesigns.
