The longer that blood was on me and the more it dried, the more it resembled strawberry jam, in colour and texture. But now my friend and I have created a new fake blood that not only looks real, but can fool real people!!! And man, that position my front hand is in is so cool!!! Hard and soft at the same time!! If my hands weren't so scarred and fucked up I'd become a hand model XDA bit of info on the cosplay...
I made his soul reaper uniform, no wait, let me rephrase that. I HAND SEWED that sould reaper unifrom. I wanted it to be as authentic looking as possible to hand sewed the whole thing. ~cries~ Don't ever hand sew stuff if you don't need to. I'll make another version of this uniform someday, make it more precise and what not, but it looks bloody awesome right here lol. I also wove the straw sandals myself, allergies did not like that. The only thing I didn't make here is the sword, I bought that from some custom sword makers down in Wellington, New Zealand.
I painted the hollow mask on my face, took just over two hours I think. If you want I can make a youtube tutorial on how I painted it. I used high quality acrylic paints and smudge proof eyeliner. The yellow contacts are from FantasyEyes.
Ah, I think that's it. I would love to know what you think of this cosplay, critisim is always welcomed, just don't be mean, ain't nobody got time for that.

How did you make the sandals? I made mine as well, but it was a very long process and I was wondering if there is possibly some easier way out there...
The best thing to make fake blood that I've ever seen was lingonberry (mountain cranberry) syrup, but it would probably be hard to get in New Zealand, they only grow in the Northern Hemisphere.

Hahaha, thank you! This is the first time I have ever done a cosplay photoshoot, I wasn't quite sure how far I could take it without going board, but now I relaize I could have gone further in the creepy department lol. I kept doing really modelly poses and my photographer/best friend ~ranga-pony would just stand there not taking any pictures and look at me weirdly before I went back to posing like a guy, lmao.
I used this tutorial here [link] . I screwed up at the back though were the waraji finishes, so I'm glad yu can't see that in any of the photos lol. I used a thicker straw that lots of tutorials didn't recommend because it would hurt your feet if you wore them too long. I wove mine very tight (one tighter than the other lol) and they didn't hurt me at all.
We made three batches of fake blood in the end. The first was turning out perfect and all we had to add with a little drop of blue food colouring... then my friend added too much and it went so purple we couldn't save it, lmfao. The next two batches were made; one thicker one thinner. One of them had blue dye in it the other green, the green came out the best. Oh, we used the same tutorial then 8D Eh, mine were far from perfect too, for example I discovered that I was running out of rope midway through the second sandal, so it ended up a lot less tightly woven than the first. Still feels nice to wear, though, and I'm surprised they're still in one piece XD (Especially since I finally did get a Bleach photoshoot... outside... in the snow! ...I think I'm crazy.)
That's pretty nice Lara Croft cosplay! Yes, I think sometimes people make the mistake of having fake blood either too bright red or even red with a slightly purple-ish hue... I think adding green is a good idea, gets closer to the real colour.
XD Lingonberries are small red sour red berries that are quite common in the forests around here. Why I thought it was nice was, that the juice is not bright red, like strawberry or cranberry, but is the shade of red with a drop of brown in it, and syrup is thicker so it can look quite real. Plus, if you got some in your mouth, you didn't have to panic, since it's completely safe as well XD

Cosplay modelling is so bloody different to regular modelling!! All the things you see in magazines usually don't translate to cosplay modelling, you have to come up with believable poses for your character and then some orginal ones that could work too. I wish I had gone creepier with this photoshoot, taken it that step further, but it was a good lesson and experience on what and what not to do. Like don't eat chips before you get to the location so your mask cracks up big time before you want it to actually crack lmao.
It's a good tutorial aye! I've seen one where you only use hands a feet to weave the waraji, but there was so much room for error that I liked this one better, lol. Mine have been worn through and then covered in fake blood, so I can't save them and have to make another pair. Actually, this whole uniform was covered in fake blood, so if I ever want to cosplay Ichigo again I'm going to have to make everything from scratch lol. Imma gunna go look at your Unohana, comment on it and what not
Yeah, the blood we used for mine was fine until it started drying, then it looked pinkish and jammy lol. But we got our fake blood down now, so it's all awesome from here on out!!!

It is! You basically have to create fanart, but not using drawing supplies but other people or yourself! And all of this in the physical limitations of this world. So no ignoring gravity. Well, at least you now have tips that you can use for the next photoshoot! 8D
Yes, I've seen others on places like YouTube as well, but I didn't trust my own (non-existent XD) skills. Mine have still survived, and I hope they will last a little longer! Haha, or you could make 'crazy Ichigo' or 'Ichigo after meeting Kenpachi/Grimmjow/Byakuya/anyone' one of your main cosplays! XD Would be a shame to throw it all away, all this work...

I suppose I could do that actually, thank you! It didn't even occur to me haha. I need to remake the hakama entirely anyway because I made them wrong, lol. The pleats and everything are fine, it's just the top of them where they secure to your body that I made them wrong.

Sure, remake it if you want to, but it would just be a waste to get rid of the old one. Then, if you want to have another creepy/bloody photoshoot session in the future, you could use the already bloody one and keep the second one nice and clean?

Lol, the fake blood used literally dried to the colour of strawberry jam, but I will reuse the uniform and just cut off the bits that are stained. Thank you so much for the idea!!! I'll have to remember to credit you for the idea when I do the next Ichigo photoshoot lol.
