That little bit of bandage on the end of the hilt billowed so dramatically, Pony lost her shit when it happened lol.A bit of info on the cosplay...
I made his soul reaper uniform, no wait, let me rephrase that. I HAND SEWED that sould reaper unifrom. I wanted it to be as authentic looking as possible to hand sewed the whole thing. ~cries~ Don't ever hand sew stuff if you don't need to. I'll make another version of this uniform someday, make it more precise and what not, but it looks bloody awesome right here lol. I also wove the straw sandals myself, allergies did not like that. The only thing I didn't make here is the sword, I bought that from some custom sword makers down in Wellington, New Zealand.
I painted the hollow mask on my face, took just over two hours I think. If you want I can make a youtube tutorial on how I painted it. I used high quality acrylic paints and smudge proof eyeliner. The yellow contacts are from FantasyEyes.
Ah, I think that's it. I would love to know what you think of this cosplay, critisim is always welcomed, just don't be mean, ain't nobody got time for that.

Naw, thank you very much!! The paint stuck to all my little face hairs and hurt to pull it off so it could look like that. I was yelling "OW! MY BEARD!!" everytime I pulled a piece off, lol.

Amazing face paint! Thats real dedication weaving the sandals and handsewing the uniform! I dont think I've ever hand-sewn an entire costume. Mad props to you!

Thanks so much!!! Yeah, I wanted the whole outfit to feel as authentic as pooisble, right down to those god damned sandals.
Don't do it!!! Don't ever hand sew a whole costume!!! Your fingers will bleed, you'll spend nights crying over the fact that the time it took you to sew and attach one sleeve you could have completed the whole outfit in, and you'll have nightmares about pleats!!!
In saying that though, all of Ryuk's outfit is getting handsewed on. Not. Fun.
Funny you should mention that, I am entering the group contest this yeah as Rem and my friend Michael as Ryuk. Plan on taking first place y'all!!!

This is truly amazing. I literally gasped when I saw it.
I ususally don't take an interest to cosplay, as very few people are able to do it the right way; not a correct body form, the uniform is all messed up and wrong, or simply the photographer isn't very good.
But this looks like tru perfection!

I know what you mean. I love cosplay, but unless you bring something new to it, or put an original spin on it, it can get very boring and repetitive.
