That blood tasted like shocolate coffee and I was more than happy to lick it off my fingers at the end of the day
When I was lying down We had the blood drip down my face and make a nice little blood pool. But then when I sat up, that running blood turned int a REALLY creapy blood smile.A bit of info on the cosplay...
I made his soul reaper uniform, no wait, let me rephrase that. I HAND SEWED that sould reaper unifrom. I wanted it to be as authentic looking as possible to hand sewed the whole thing. ~cries~ Don't ever hand sew stuff if you don't need to. I'll make another version of this uniform someday, make it more precise and what not, but it looks bloody awesome right here lol. I also wove the straw sandals myself, allergies did not like that. The only thing I didn't make here is the sword, I bought that from some custom sword makers down in Wellington, New Zealand.
I painted the hollow mask on my face, took just over two hours I think. If you want I can make a youtube tutorial on how I painted it. I used high quality acrylic paints and smudge proof eyeliner. The yellow contacts are from FantasyEyes.
Ah, I think that's it. I would love to know what you think of this cosplay, critisim is always welcomed, just don't be mean, ain't nobody got time for that.

Yes I did, I wanted to give an original flare to a character that had already been cosplayed several times.

Thank you! I always look at the store bought versions first to see about how they went in making the the proportions and such, but ultimately, if you make it yourself you can make it as precise and as acurate as you want it to be, not to mention it will be made to fit your body specifically.

Agreed. Hand sewing starts off fun, then quickly looses any merit after the first 30 minutes.

If you want a hand sewn look, you could try using a zig zag stitch on the machine, with just a little bit of zag, or rather turn the width of stitch down so it's nearly a straight stitch. Good on yah for hand sewing! I find hand sew meditative and enjoy it in between needing to use the machine.

Yeah, I thought of using a widened zig zag stitch, but for some stupid reason decided hand sewing the thing would be better lmao. But lesson learnt, I'm not handsewing something that big ever again, takes far too much time. Nowadsays, I only hand sew when my machine throws a tantrum and eats my fabric, I swear sewing machines are out to get me. All of them.
My Gaara cloak was actually half hand sewen and half machine sewen. But i think the seams where I have hand sewen it look much nicer than where the machine has sewed it, lol.

Yeah, my machine doesn't like me much either. The material I am sewing right now is quite thin and the machine loves to eat it. (But I don't have a choice, I'm using a special stretch stitch). I think the opening in the plate where the needle dips down is too wide. But I finally scored a variety pack of needles and using the correct needle helps tremendously.

That's really good to hear! My mum always sets the sewin machine to the right settings for the fabric I am using, and when she uses it, everything goes fine. But the moment I use it, it eats the fabric, or the thread snaps. I've just got bad luck whgen it comes to machines lol

I had that same problem! I don't know what it was that I did exactly but it just kind of stopped happening over time. I think it has a lot to do with the quality of tread I was using. If it's all fuzzy looking, it get stuck in the machine.

I relate to Ichigo's personality and how he never gives up, it's usually just a little thing in a character and being able to relate to even just a little thing helps make portraying that character much easier. Like with Gaara, I'm an insomniac, so I completely understand why he hardly speaks and when he does it sounds like a threat half the time. No sleep of very little sleep make for a person with a very short temper, lol.

If you and the character have the same traits it makes you believe that you're that character.
If I think about it I'm like Orihime as I'm a sweet girl, wanting to help my friends but not wanting to hurt no one and I can daydream quite a lot in my own world lol

We actually have a cosplay conventions over here it's such a small island but there is nothing stopping me buying the outfit and taking the pictures myself.

Yeah, there isn't a lot over here in New Zealand, but what there is, all of us kiwi nerd go to lol. My friend takes all my photo's and we just spend the whole day driving to a location, taking photo's, then driving home. It's a lot of fun and I highly recommend it!! So go for it!!
